What's New in JKSHIM?

The notification for the CAT and XAT exams has been released.

The last date to apply for the CAT exam is September 13, 2024. The admit card will be made available from November 5, 2024, and the exam will take place on the 4th Sunday of November, i.e., November 24, 2024. Students can visit @iimcat.ac.in and register for the same. The results are expected to release in January of next year.
The last date to apply for the XAT exam is yet to be released. However, the deadline for the registration as well as the Admit Card will be made available from December, 2024. The Exam will take place on January 5, 2025. Students can visit the official XAT website for the same.

About JKSHIM

Justice KS Hegde Institute of Management was founded by the Nitte Education Trust in the year 1988 and is located in Bangalore. The course offered by it is a 2 year full time MBA program affiliated and approved by AICTE.

JKSHIM has introduced a family managed business program at K Ullas Kamath Centre for Family Managed Business on its campus. The centre will work with micro, small and medium sized businesses to provide them them with the toolkits for their business upliftment. The first cohort of the program will begin on June 13 and registration will end on May 31. The institute will organize two-four cohorts each year. A maximum of 20 candidates will be allowed to participate in each cohort.

The institute is quite recognized and has been ranked as high as 55^th in the list of top business schools. Apart from various achievements and awards the college is also in the process of getting accredited by ACBSP. The Chairman Professor K. Sankaran is himself highly educated (IIT-IIM) and believes that imparting best quality of education to its students to help them become great managers in future.

Placements: The college has a well-managed placement cell for carrying out the placement related activities for the college such as contacting corporate houses, calling them to hire students, arrangement of guest lectures, summer training companies, etc. Even in 2014, 72 students were placed and out of which 38 were placed in top companies. The admission process was smooth and very easy. Entrance exams were conducted in 2 batches with various rounds to choose the best candidates. Making us know the faculty and other students. College started as soon as the candidates were shortlisted.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was decent and covered different aspects of a management program. Initially focusing on all the departments and after the internship, we opted for specializations. Our program was a dual specialization program and exams were held at the end of each semester. We learned a wide variety of subjects like business economics, financial management, hr management, operations, etc.

Admission:

The infrastructure of this college is really good. We have AC classrooms with free Wi-Fi all around the campus and also even at the hostels. The library is situated in the other building. The medical facilities and sports facilities are really good at this college.

One word to say is THE BEST DAYS, It has all the facilities that a college should have. JKSHIM will be among few colleges in the country to have Bloomberg facility in the campus. It has the best library, canteen, garden. It's one of the best campuses due to its location in the western ghats.
