Chandragupt Institute of Management admissions are based on marks obtained in the relevant entrance examination. For PGDM and PGDM–IEV, candidates have a bachelor's degree with 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) and have a good score in exams like CAT / XAT / CMAT / ATMA / CUET / GMAT / MAT. Selection is based on the entrance scores, academic performance, work experience, performance in group discussion and personal interview rounds. For EFPM, a master’s degree is required, with valid test scores, research proposals and interviews. For FPM, admission is based on the CAT, GMAT, GRE, and NET. The candidates are required to pay the application fee of INR 1000 (INR 500 for the reserved category) through online or offline mode.

Chandragupt Institute of Management provides hostel facilities for the students. Separate hostels for girls and boys are provided at the institute.
