About CIMP
Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP), Patna was established as an autonomous institution in 2008 with active support from the Government of Bihar. CIMP offers a Post Graduate Diploma in Management, Fellow Program and an Executive Program in Management (for working professionals) sponsored by the Government of Bihar.
The institute has released the placement report for the 2022-2024. According to the report CIMP Patna has achieved 100% placement for its 15th batch.The highest package offered this year was INR 24.80 lakh per annum. More than 25 corporate companies from myriad sectors participated in the placement drives. These participating companies were from diverse verticals like Banking, Dairy, Paints, FMCG, Financial Inclusion, Telecommunication, Aerospace /Defence, Pharma, Bihar Government, Life Insurance, Metal Manufacturing, Construction & Engineering.
Around 97 students of the batch who opted for placement this year, were picked up by top 22 companies who participated in the placement season namely, ICICI, Global Archer, Amul, HDFC Life, IDBI Bank, Axis Bank, Federal bank, Colgate- Palmolive , HDFC Bank etc. The largest recruiter for the batch of 2022-24 has been yet again ICICI Bank which hired 27 students for different verticals.

Course 1: Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM)
- Specialization: Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, Business Analytics and Operations.
- Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% aggregate marks or its equivalent CGPA (45% for reserved category) and obtained a valid score in CAT/ XAT/ CMAT/MAT
- Duration: 2 years
Course 2: Fellow Program in Management
- Specialization: Marketing, Finance, Organizational Behaviour, Information Systems, Communication, Human Resource Management, Operations and Quantitative Techniques.
- Eligibility: Master’s degree or equivalent in any discipline with above 50% marks or equivalent CGPA and Obtained a valid score in CAT/ GMAT/ GRE/ RAT conducted by the institute.
- Duration: 4 years
Course 3: Executive Program in Management
- Eligibility: Master’s degree or equivalent in any discipline with above 50% marks or equivalent CGPA and Obtained a valid score in CAT/ GMAT/ GRE/ RAT conducted by the institute.

Step 1: Download the application form or admission brochure from the official website of the college or obtain it from the institute. Apply Here
Step 2: Fill in all the required details and pay the application fee of INR 1000 (INR 500 for reserved category) via online mode (Credit/ Debit Card/ Net Transfer) or through demand draft in favor of Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna, payable at Patna.

Selection Criteria
For PGDM
- Candidates will be selected on the basis of marks in any of the following exams:
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for Writing Ability Test, Group Discussion followed by Personal Interview.
For FPM
- Candidates will be selected on the basis of research interest, work experience, and marks secured in any of the following exams:
- Candidates are required to submit a proposal narrating their specific topic of research.
For EPM
- The first level screening will be done on the basis of received application forms. Selected applicants will be called for a personal interview later.
- The final selection will be done on the basis of the overall performance of the applicant in all components of the selection process.

Ques. Has CIMP achieved 100% placement for previous batches?
Ans. Yes, the institute has achieved 100% placement. All the graduating students of the previous 10 batches got placed successfully.
Ques. Does CIMP help in getting a bank loan?
Ans. Yes, CIMP helps students in getting an education loan from the leading nationalized banks. This will, however, be subject to the ability of the candidate to fulfill the terms and conditions of the respective bank.
Ques. What are the scholarship available to the students?
Ans. CIMP facilitates the education of economically backward students through Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFW) as proposed by AICTE. The proposed scheme will be applicable only to the students having parents’ annual income (from all sources) less than INR 8 lakhs. The total number of seats under this category will not exceed 5% of the total intake of the students.
Under the Meritorious Girl Student Scholarship (MGSS) Scheme, the scholarship will be given to the top 3 girl students securing a place in the top 10 positions in the batch, every academic year.

Ans. PGDM Program offered by CIMP is a two-year fully residential program. Students have to stay on campus during the program.

All collegea are good. But i have choose this college because i live in patna and i dont want to go in other states and in patna this is the best mba college according to all aspecta of facilities that provided here.

As far I have not found any bad aspects of the college and goods are the Placement, Mentoring, Dedication in imparting management talent etc. The admission process is as follows : 1 - Application form filling wherein only CMAT, XAT & CAT scores are accepted. 2 - After applying with a valid score card, you get a call for GD, PI & WAT process if the score is above the cutoff. 3 - After completing the above process, we have to wait for the final result where a seat is offered with subject to completion of required documents/records etc. The reason to prefer this college was its previous record, active support of the government, placements etc. After comparing it with the colleges in metro cities I found it on par with them which has a hold on its quality education. It is a Premium B School where the faculties are all from top institutes like IIMs, FMS, IRMA, IITs etc. Previous batches of the colleges have been working in a reputed organization in various industries.

It's a good College near me under my budget as my hometown is in Ranchi so it's very close and it has a good name in the state and nearby. At least it's a very good place for a middle-class family guy. Who can't manage to afford studies in a metro city.

My journey with the CIMP was a mixed bag of feelings. I learned a lot and enjoyed a lot. This college gave me some of the best memories of my life, be it the campus life, the events or the industrial visits. It shaped my career for good. On top of that, I got a decent placement via on-campus placements.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The course curriculum was pretty updated and dynamic. Through our term of four sessions, we studied about numerous subjects like business, IT management, HR management, behavioral science, etc. For the first two semesters, we studied all of the subjects whilst from the third semester onward we studied a set of subjects related to our specialization.

College is very good for placement prospective. There are larger number of recruiters come into CIMP. You will definitely get placement here (as per previous records) other than that faculty were also good at CIMP. Lot's of conference happen over here.
