Amrita is better than VIT. Amrita is ranked 4th in India by NIRF and also Amrita is included in global ranking. Amrita is very strict and also the syllabus is difficult compared to VIT, both VIT and Amrita have 90% + placement. As such, Amrita is better than VIT.

Can I do the PhD in part-time mode from ASB, Coimbatore?

Yes. ASB offers both Full-time and Part-time PhD programmes. Admission to the PhD programme is based on an entrance test conducted by the University and a Personal Interview.

How much scholarship can I expect to get while undergoing doctoral level Phd from Amrita, Coimbatore?

There are two types of scholarships based on merit that are available for PhD students at ASB. The university scholarship (AMMAs Scholarship) provides you with up to Rs 25000 per month. The ASB department scholarship is up to 12500 per month. Scholarships are available only for full-time students.

What are the sports and recreational facilities available at the campus?

ASB Coimbatore is probably the only campus which is proud of having an Olympic size swimming pool. The campus also has facilities for track & field games, cricket, football, basketball, tennis and indoor games like table tennis, badminton, carom etc.

Amrita School of Business Coimbatore, good campus life.

Likes

I liked the campus mainly due to the green campus environment.
Good infrastructure, great environment to have evening walks
Good ground for sports and also good canteen facility

Dislikes

Mandatory outpass for going out is a barrier sometimes if its an emergency.
less holidays for festivals, unable to go home.

Campus Life:

Pragati is the Management fest conducted by ASB Coimbatore, usually held in the month of February every year. I was a part of the forum named Ozone, being the head of the forum, I was able to network with a lot of people. The library gives access to a wide area, literally a lot and it might take years to read all the books available there. We as MBA students weren't as involved in sports as the engineering department does, but whoever is interested can go on.

An wholesome experience

Campus Life:

Life on campus academically is very good, but socially not so. Amenities in classrooms and libraries are very good. Students get access to many online journals and research papers like SCOPUS. There are many sports and extracurriculars too. There are MBA-only fests and fests where all students conduct the overall Amrita Viswa Vidyapeetham celebration. There is the Raga club. for students who like music, they have a music room where they can practice music.

Campus Life:

As it is in online mode, we are given access to the e-Library for reference. I didn't get a chance to visit my campus. So the things are not completed as of now. As it is completely based on the online mode we always have network issues and there is not much interaction among our friends. We do conduct talks and management-related speeches once or twice a month.

Trustable, Worth for Penny

Campus Life:

The infrastructure was really awesome. Everyone likes the atmosphere. ASB is one of the best Management libraries in India. It has lots of journals. There are many clubs in ASB for Placement, Festival, Colloquia, Photography, Social development. All clubs are run by students with the guidelines of seniors and staff. The annual B-fest is Pragati, where all B-School students will join this and make use of it. Other functions are Utsav, Yi-Net, and Kalakriti

Campus Life:

Campus life is lively; rules are quite strict and may be annoying at times.but for PG graduates there is some liberity compared to UG students We do have students all across india; could say more diversified in that aspect and every year there will be sports events conducted on the occasion of sports day and also extracurricular activities will be quite good.

Hostel Facilities:

I opted for Hostel accommodation as all the rooms were good and well furnished. I was happy that I was staying in the hostel as the premise was safe and clean. Also for the allotment of the Hostel, I paid around Rs 3000/- and Rs 75 as extra charges.

The hostel rooms were good and spacious. I was happy to opt for the hostel as the rooms were clean and washrooms were hygienic. Apart from this, we also had a mess with proper healthy food and of course with a lot of varieties.

Campus Life:

Field visit trips to realise the practical implications. We have sports day Named Udhkarsh. Inter MBA sports day meet. Institution and students collectively collects dress and toys for orphanages. For last 2 year institution and Mata Amritanandamayi Math collaboratively setup 24*7 Helpline center for Kerala Flood rescue mission.

Campus Life:

There are ample amount of extracurricular activities going around on campus be it of sports, cultural. The students participate in them regularly. The labs are good but not excellent. Most of the equipment work and all of them work during exams.
