Imphal College, Manipur was established in the year 1952, the college was established as an Arts college at Mandop, Nongmeibung, Imphal. The college was established for impart idealistic education in the evening for the young & employed students with deprived economic background. The college was recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC) in the year 1980. The college is affiliated to Manipur University, Canchipur, Imphal and is also accredited by NAAC. The college offers with 3 years program in Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts and Inter-Disciplinary Courses to the students. The college provides with well qualified faculty to impart education to the students.

My honest review of my college

Likes

The environment is very nice for studying.The faculty is also very good.The classrooms will be upgrading to smart classes.
There is a library,a NCC and NS programs,social works,group activities,college trips etc, which make it very exciting for us students.
My batchmates are also very friendly and co operative.

Dislikes

The college should organise a field trip or a picnic once every six months.
Toilets are a mess.The smell reaches your throat.There is a swimming pool but no swimming class.
Some classrooms don't have enough fans.The canteen charges high prices on the food.

Admission:

I didn't apply to other colleges,this college was quite near to my home so it was the best option for me My mother is the sole bread earning member so due to financial restrictions,I didn't apply to any other colleges. To apply,you must have achieved atleast 50% in your high school leaving exam,then you must sent in the required documents like Aadhar,marksheet and all. Once approved you will be given a token ,the you can apply for admission

Admission:

I choose this college because i came to know about the subject which I preferred had a good teaching staff I also applied for ba llb in amity university noida i got selection but couldn't happen due to travel issues during pandemic

My College Life

Likes

I like the college campus environment very much everyone is always punctual and take their studies seriously

Dislikes

Amenities was quite low and not a good place for buying needs
Infrastructure was quite bad and sometimes hinder our learning

Admission:

Students have to pass the 12th exam if they want to study in college. The application form was available in the administrative office of the college and the application fee is 300 rupees. We have a reservation for ST, SC and OBC.

Likes

Nice colleague.Met a lot of new friends. I loves the vibes out there. Tbh the friends i met in my college life were literally the best person of my life
Good atmosphere. Plants are trees were everywhere. I love the swimming pool and the gardens there makes us fresh if we sit there

Dislikes

Class room is too small. The ratio of students is much more bigger than the class of the size
Infrastructure too bad. The classes were small . Class were conjusted
Not clean properly. Public areas were not maintain properly

Admission:

The requirement of the course I undertook was 10+2 with a minimum of 55% marks. Reservation policy was there since our college was a government college but I got admitted thanks to my merit, Overall the admission process was quite smooth.
