Sivananda Sarma Memorial RV college offers undergraduate Commerce, Business Administration and Computer Applications and post graduate courses in Commerce. admits students on merit and as per the minimum qualification required for the respective course. Sivananda Sarma Memorial RV College, popularly known as SSMRV College is affiliated to Bengaluru Central University and recognized by UGC under 2(f) in 1991 and 12B in 1999.

This college provided us with specialization classes

Dislikes

The teachers leaves the college in middle and no proper interaction
The infrastructure is not up to the mark as other colleges and the management of the college is not good like in sports, cultural events and the canteen contains very less menu

Admission:

I chose this college because RV is a very reputed college so thought of going to one of the branch ie SSMRV but after taking admission it isn't that great .. and I had got the admission in sju but coz there were only evening batches available I didn't go there!! And in SSMRV we did had an interview!!! And if we compare to other colleges this college is affordable that's a good point and they are also providing us with specialization courses alsoo!!

Environment and some of the faculty are good
The guest lecturers who come for the add on course are pretty well

Dislikes

Facilities like the projectors and classrooms are not well
Small ground and less sports hours and activities

Admission:

Before this college I applied for Christ and st.josephs but the criterias over there were too high for me as the cut off percentage there was above 85 and 90 as I got 80...in this college if u score above 75 percent u need not write any exams ... they take an interview that's it

We got all the best and professional lecturers
Class rooms are very clean and big in which max 80 students can be sited comfortably

Dislikes

There are less number of washrooms so we face lot of difficulty and usage of time is more
There is no extra curricular activities.

Admission:

My elder sibling and cousin were passout students of this college and their success attracted me to join this college for my betterment and to achieve my set ambitions. Here , lecturers plays an important role in the success of the students

Education for bachelor of computer applications is really great
The fees structure is moderate better Than other colleges

The placements provided from college is also not so great

I had applied to Christ university but got rejected Because these assholes they run a mallu and Christian Mafia over there They only select most of the people from either Kerala or if they are Christian or if they are not from the state where university is located They don't give damn about your marks they just care about there community Anyhow I was intrested in my college because of the skill enhancement course which is ETDCA stand for enterprise technology data center architecture There will be entrence test in our college if the candidate has scored below 75% In case it's above 75% you will have a meeting with the director of the college and will be selected through a interview taken by one of the faculty from the respective departments

I did not apply any other colleges I thought ssmrv is good college and directly came into this college and did not rejected anywhere and ssmrv had some test eligibility exams most preferd course here is bcom

Good faculty who are very knowledgeable and experienced and we can communicate easily with the faculty without any hindrance
Activities conducted by college which is good and encouraging

Dislikes

Placement is not much compared to other departments
No much activities related to academics which is quite disappointing

Admission:

I didn't apply for any other colleges. I personally had this college has first preference because it has good reputation and fee was reasonable and which has good placements and nearby to my home and some of my friends were even joined here. Admission process was very easy online registration was done once we visited college once , faculty was there they guided to all the process and helped us and paid the fees through DD which was bit convenient and easy.

The sports ground is small and not maintained properly

I had applied to St. Francis College where i studied my pre university. So I had a thought of going to some other college. That's when my friends recommended SSMRV. I didn't apply much to other colleges. First step is to fill the application online and submit it to the college. You should have scored more than 60 in maths in 10th and 12th.

The Campus Infrastructure was good the campus was neat and clean.
The Staff were equally good and friendly.

Dislikes

The Placement is worst no assistance and no proper placement as mentioned by them
The Placement department forces the tech related students to go for non tech jobs

Admission:

The reason why I chose this college was due to the brand name RV. SSMRV is a institution which comes under the Rashtreeya Vidyalaya Institutions. The good reputation and the affordable fees structure at my time was the reason for why I chose this college. The admission was simple had to pay Rs. 5000 for holding the seat and the seat was confirmed once I paid the whole amount. With minor criterias it's easy to get into the college. I looked into Oxford College but the distance was far and the campus didn't seem to please me.
