I am Veer Jain and I have taken admission in Narsee Monjee college of commerce and economics, Mumbai and I've gotten admission through the general quota. Our college takes an yearly fees of 55,720/- and and 167,160/- over three years of the course. The fees can increase if someone opts for the fourth year doing Hons in their respective courses. The tuition fee is 38000/-, the caution fee is 150/-, admission fee is 200/-, the development fee is 500/-, the lab fee is 1000/- and the college also charges various other fee such as library fee, magazine fee, NSS fee, etc. which is included in the total yearly fee of 55720/-. This fee structure implies to the general category and can vary with the reservations with which you have gotten admission in the college. BFM, BCom eco, BMS and BAF have the same fee structure, BCom has a fee of 14470/-, BCom eco and analytics has a fee of 105,220/- BMF has a fee of 127220/-.
The fees for the course is 32720 which is quite low as compared to other colleges in India. There are internships in the second year as per my knowledge. No scholarships are available for the course and it's worth studying from here
The course curriculum is moderate. It induces a healthy competition. Attendance is very important here. Each semester's grade is based on external exams, internal tests, presentations, and assignments.
The present curriculum followed by the college is extremely knowledge based and it also helps us to get a corporate world experience as they focus on practical approach too.The faculties are highly qualified and do have a corporate experience. Student quality is wonderful. It have a very active placement cell which helps us for good internships and even job offers. So course wise, academics wise, exposure wise and faculties everything is just wonderful.
The course curriculum included pretty easy syllabus. But we learned much more through activities and examples. Each semester's SGPA was calculated based on external exams, internal exams, and certain activities/presentations during the semesters.
I have no idea about the loan facility or the scholarship facility, but I can say that for almost everyone there is no need for applying loan or scholarship as the fees for the year is comparitively very low. In FYJC it is not more than ?335.
The fee is so reasonable. 6000 around for a year. Even a middle class person can afford it. It is so flexible. No money pressure on the family. Abd giving the best studies.
I don't know or have heard about any scholarships offered by Narsee Monjee college but an inquiry in the college office should give you all the information you need.
