Government College of Commerce and Business Administration (GCCBA) is a higher education institution affiliated to Panjab University. It was established to impart quality and need-based education to students.
GCCBA, Chandigarh offers admissions to courses in B.Com, BBA, BCA and M.Com. Candidates will be given admissions purely on merit as per marks obtained in aggregate in last qualifying examination.
- UG admissions to courses in B.Com, BBA and BCA requires a pass in 10+2 examination with minimum 50% marks.
- In case of B.Com, candidates must have studied subjects of Commerce stream.
- Those applying for M.Com must have passed B.Com (H)/Bachelor’s degree with Commerce or related subjects with minimum 45% marks.
- Applicants can only apply in online mode at the official website of DHE.
- Centralized counselling conducted by DHE includes verification of documents, confirmation of admissions and payment of admission fee.

GCCBA, Chandigarh UG Admissions 2024
GCCBA is known to conduct courses in BBA, B.Com and BCA at UG level. Admissions are direct i.e. based on marks secured in last qualifying examination. The admissions will be given through a process of Centralized Admission conducted by DHE in order of merit.
Candidates desirous of seeking admissions will be held eligible as under:

- Candidates having a compartment in class 12th qualifying examination will be held eligible for admissions as under:
- They should have the compartment in one subject only.
- Applicants should have obtained minimum 20% marks in the compartment subject.
- They also should have obtained the minimum percentage of marks in aggregate required for the concerned course.
- In case of candidates applying for BCA course, preference will be given to students who have studied Mathematics/Statistics and Computer Science/Computer Applications/Information Technology or equivalent.
GCCBA, Chandigarh M.Com Admissions 2024
At PG level, it offers a two-year degree course in M.Com. The selection of candidates is done on the basis of merit as per marks secured by candidates in last qualifying examination. The eligibility to seek admissions is as under:

- An associate of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (or England) or Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India (or England).
- Passed final examination conducted by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
- Any other qualification recognized by Panjab University Syndicate.
GCCBA Application Process 2024
The step by step procedure to make an application will be as given below:
- Visit the website www.dhe.chd.gov.in and click on the link ‘e-Admissions’ for online Application Process.
- Click on Sign Up to register by providing Email ID, Mobile Number and Name.
- An SMS will be sent to the applicant with the password for further process.
- Log in again and click on “APPLICATION FORM” under New Student option.
- Select Centralized Admission for the courses and fill up the form.
- Upload scanned copies of all certificates/ testimonials, photograph and signature.
- Save the changes and submit the form.
- College authorities will scrutinize the documents and confirmation of admissions will be given to shortlisted candidates.

Scholarships
GCCBA, Chandigarh offers Dr. Ambedakar Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Post-Matric Scholarships for the Economically Backward Class (EBC) Students. Candidates who are permanent residents of Chandigarh with a family income of not more than INR 1 lakh per annum are eligible to apply for this scholarship. They have to fill application form regarding the same at www.dhe.chd.gov.in to avail this scholarship.

Admission:
The only reason I applied to government College of commerce and business administration is because it's specialise in commerce related course and it only provides bba bcom and bca along with other facilities

- The teachers are supportive and help the students in there work and also encourage them for extra curricular activities
- The seniors are friendly the are like our brothers and sisters and also they don't force the junior for any work

- College has limited seats so cutoff is little bit high
- Stationary is not available in this college
Admission:
Government College of commerce and business administration specialised in commerce and business line and all the professors are PhD holder and they helps the students to clear there doubts someone from non commerce background join any course. Can easily understand this course by the help of the professors.

- The college is only for Commerce students so it is specialised in commerce
- The college is a newly built and therefore, the infrastructure. is new and highly developed
Dislikes
- Canteen facility is there in college but does not offers good food.
- There is lack of discipline in the college as students bunk classes
Admission:
I have applied for SD College, however, due to a shortage of marks, I am not able to make it there. However, got placed in the second-best college in the Tricity. For admission one needs to fill out an application form from Punjab University and through this based on one's score in his higher secondary. The cutoff for my college was 88%. My overall admission experience was very smooth.

- Quality Study provided by the best qualified staff. Moreover, almost every teacher has done Phd in their respective subjects
- Study with PowerPoint presentation personally made by the teachers itself.
Dislikes
- As it's a commerce college, so no. of students are less as compared to other colleges.
- Very less co curricular activities comparing to other colleges.
Admission:
Admission process is purely online based. Admission form, fee payment, and merit lists for all the colleges in Chandigarh are available online on dhe.chd website. It is easily accessible for all the students rather roaming here and there in every college for admission purposes. Physical counseling is also there at the end if seats are still vacant in the course. Cutoff for bcom goes to 90% above in outside UT Pool and 80% above in UT Pool. However, all this has changed due to nep policy 2024.

- College is really boring there are very few students
- Gym,table tenis,reading rooms are always locked

Eligibility for course is 12 th pass admission proceess was done under panjab university srudents were given college according to there percentage in 12th.there was reservation for reserved categories and students who have done there 12 th in chamdigarh are given priority too

The admission process is quite simple, you just have to fill out the form on the DHE Chandigarh website and then the counseling process begins in which 3 list come and in the final list you get to know about your alloted college

the admission process was hassle-free eligibility process was the same as other colleges like 65 pr 70+ i dont really remember what it was but it was strict and hassle free application forms can be found on dhechd site admission is provided on the basis of reservations

The eligibility of the course is that those who clear class 12th with any stream get an advantage with math. After the Declaration of class 12th results director of higher education published forms for the student for the admission to different courses The admission process to this college has not been difficult. it was easy and the staff was also helpful. U get a reservation basis on your category Admission notification released on the month of June every year on the site
