TNEA Counseling
The application process for TNEA counseling will begin on June 27th, 2024 onwards. The candidates are required to pay a counseling fee INR 5,000 (for General Candidates and INR 1000 for Reserved Category Candidates) in offline mode through demand draft or in cash before allotment of seats.
TANCET
The application process for TANCET is carried out in online mode and candidates are required to register their details and pay the fee INR 500 (for General Candidates and INR 250 for Reserved Category Candidates) via credit card/ debit card/ net banking.
Lateral Entry
LEA (Lateral Entry) application forms are filled in online mode only. The cost of application form is INR 300 to be paid in the form of DD drawn in favor of “The Secretary Direct Second Year B.E. Admission 2024, ACCET, Karaikudi,” payable at Karaikudi. After submission of an online form, the printout of the application form, relevant enclosure along with DD must be sent by post or dropped at the given postal address:

Library: The central library of SMIT is situated in a separate block with a total area of 990 sq.m. The Library has a collection of 48303 books, 10996 titles, 3374 CD-ROM’s, 96 National Journals, 95 International Journals, Internet browsing facility, Lending, Reference and Reprographic facilities and study halls with a capacity for 150 students. The library is fully automated with AUTOLIB software and has ample desktop computers to access e-journals & e-books.
Gymnasium: Physical fitness centers (gymnasium) with all kinds of equipment like Treadmill, Crossfit, dumbbells and heavy weight lifting for both boys and girls.
Canteen: There is a canteen facility for the benefit of students, staff and visitors. Food is provided at subsidized rates. Apart from this, a fast food center, which is a part of the canteen, is available.
Sports: SMIT Chennai gives a lot of thrust in the overall development of the students. Ques. How are the facilities in the hostel? How can I take admission in it?
Ans. The SMIT Chennai offers a very comfortable living accommodation with separate hostels for boys and girls within the campus under the care of resident wardens. There is one hostel for boys and one for girls with enough space to accommodate the outstation students. Admission to the hostel is based-on First come first serve policy. Students who seek admission to the hostel, have to submit an application to the warden in a prescribed form with a passport size photograph affixed and duly signed by the student and parents/ guardians.

Eligibility for the course is 45%+ in the 12th exam. Application and admission can be done through Tnea counselling or the college's official website. If a first graduate student can reduce the fee up to 30k. It would be better if mostly online processing.

The Admission process was quite fast. They kept an Entrance exam in which we need to score high as they will consider this cut-off mark excluding your public exam marks. For this, you should learn your 11th and 12th PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Math) Subjects for the entrance exam. While coming to the course you can choose the one that you like. Comparing your cut-off mark they will tell your fees for admission. The application form is available in the College itself. so, You can visit there and ask them directly. Moreover, the admission process is good so it doesn't need any improvement.

Every semester, all the students have a meeting with the alumni and industry experts. The teaching method of the teachers was too good.
