SIT Lonavala BE Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for admission are as follows:

• The applicant must be an Indian national.
• They must have passed the HSC (Class 12) or an equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical Vocational Subject, Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics Practices, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, Business Studies, Electronics, or Entrepreneurship. The candidate must have secured a minimum of 45% marks (or 40% marks for candidates from Maharashtra belonging to Backward Class categories, Economically Weaker Sections, or Persons with Disabilities) in these subjects combined. Additionally, the candidate must have appeared in all subjects of MHT-CET 2024 and obtained a non-zero score.
• Alternatively, candidates who have completed a minimum 3-year Diploma in Engineering and Technology with at least 45% marks (40% for eligible Maharashtra category candidates as mentioned above) are also eligible for admission.

SIT Lonavala BE (Lateral Entry) Admission 2025

BE (Lateral Entry) has a total of 5 specializations, including Computer Engineering, IT, EE, Electronics & Telecom Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. The BE (Lateral Entry) course fee for the first year is NR 1,29,166.

SIT Lonavala BE (Lateral Entry) Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for admission to Direct Second Year Engineering are as follows:

• The candidate must be an Indian national.
• They should have passed either a minimum three-year or two-year (lateral entry) Diploma in Engineering and Technology with at least 45% marks (or 40% marks for candidates from Maharashtra belonging to Backward Class categories, Economically Weaker Section, or Persons with Disabilities), in any branch, from an institution approved by AICTE or the Central/State Government or an equivalent authority.
• Alternatively, candidates who have completed a B.Sc. degree from a university recognized by the UGC or the Association of Indian Universities with at least 45% marks (40% for eligible Maharashtra category candidates) and have studied Mathematics at the HSC or equivalent level are also eligible. They may also be eligible if they have passed a three-year D.Voc. course in the same or a related field.
• Additionally, any other eligibility criteria announced by the relevant authority under the applicable regulations will also be considered.

SIT Lonavala ME Admission 2025

The course fee for ME at SIT Lonavala is INR 88,751 for the first year. The eligibility criteria for admission to the Postgraduate Engineering (M.E./M.Tech.) programs are as follows:

• The candidate must be an Indian national.
• They must have completed a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of Engineering and Technology from an institution approved by AICTE or the Central/State Government, or an equivalent authority, with a minimum of 50% marks (or 45% marks for candidates from Maharashtra belonging to Backward Class categories, Economically Weaker Section, or Persons with Disabilities).
• The Bachelor's degree should align with the eligibility requirements specified by the concerned university for the Postgraduate program being applied for.
• The candidate should have either:
• A valid GATE score for the current academic year (qualified), or
• Appeared for GATE and obtained a non-qualified score, or
• Have at least two years of full-time work experience in a relevant field, gained in a recognized firm, company, industry, educational or research institute, or government department/organization. (These candidates are eligible only for institute-level admissions.)
• Preference in admission will be given first to GATE-qualified candidates, followed by those who appeared for GATE but did not qualify, and finally to candidates who did not appear for GATE or GPAT.

SIT Lonavala Admission 2025: Documents Required

As per Yash Shivaji Jare, a student of SIT, Lonavala, pursuing a BE in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, he initially aimed for admission into COEP College, Pune. However, due to a lower percentile in the MHT CET, he couldn’t get a seat there, and the colleges he preferred turned out to be financially unfeasible.
