Likes
- I have chosen this course at this college because I can pursue both the core side and the IT side based on my interest, and SSN is one of the best colleges that offers the highest placements in Chennai.
- The college will provide you with funds if your project is innovative, and we have many mentors to guide the project and conduct research in the field of our choice.
Dislikes
- There was no internship offered at that time, so we voluntarily went to a few companies and did small works, but didnt get any stipend for that.
- If there is a positive response, I have to give it to the entire staff and labs. However, when it comes to negative feedback, the college management was very poor and the worst when it came to collecting fees and granting condonation.

Placement Experience:
Students are eligible for placements from the seventh semester. Companies like Dell, Citi Bank, Barclays, Natwest, BNY Mellon, etc are the companies that visit usually. Internships however, are fewer in number.
Likes
- The campus size is big but sometimes it might be tiring to walk long distances for a few places , otherwise it's a very nice and peaceful campus .
- Bus facilities to drop every student is great covering every corner of the city
Dislikes
- Sports complex not available for the entire day , very specific timings .
- No flexibility in timetable , it's only as per the wish of the management.
Placement Experience:
The campus placements are really good but recently we have seen a decline, maybe the recession could be a reason . But yes the campus placements has a decent record and comparatively a better record than the other institutions of the same league , the median is around 8 lakh , ranging from 10 lakh to 1.2cpa

- A variety of events keep happening throughout the academic year which includes workshops, flagship events of various clubs and sport events
- NO SPOON FEEDING! We are made to wet our hands and work which gives exposure and we work as a team, help each other and learn new things.
Dislikes
- They said they provide free wifi throughout the campus but the bandwidth is very low
- No free classes. Except holidays on saturdays and sundays the full week is packed up
Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for placements from the 7th semester. Many companies come for placement including google, Microsoft, dove chemicals, Caterpillar and many more. Many people get placed in IT field when compared to core companies. The highest package was in the CSE department which was 117 lakhs per annum and the average package is around 25 lakhs per annum. Around 30 - 40% students opt for higher studies and almost all the students sitting for placements get placed in a good company with an average income of 10 lakhs per annum. After getting the degree I plan to pursue MS in Germany.

- I like to go canteens with friends where there is a lot of chit chats happens.
Course Curriculum Overview:
Iam electronics and communication engineering student. We have lots of projects to build and through that we can develop our knowledge. And course curriculum also bit advanced only as compared to other colleges. And there is a lots of clubs where we can able to develop our soft skills.

- Students who play sports have really good facilities

- Mostly holidays won’t be there for festivals
Placement Experience:
SSN is mostly known for its infrastructure and placements. The placements are offered by CDC(Career Development Centre) which manages all the policies for the placements. Every year most of the people get placed in some good and reputed comapnies with quite a good package.

- The culture, environment and campus infrastructure, diverse clubs and freedom
Dislikes
- The college is strict with Holidays
Placement Experience:
To be very honest the placements are pretty good for CSE and IT departments. I would say that placements are even good for other departments if they would like to get into software companies. but it and cse will be given higher priority. Core jobs in the other departments are difficult to get in but there are high chances of securing a good job if we are good at our skills. Around 30 companies visit. The highest package for offered was 78 lakhs CTC for the IT department 98%placement in (IT and CSE departments). The average package was 12 lpa.

- The college campus is very greenish and huge. As it is situated in outskirts you are free from a lot of noise.
- The staffs here give the student high level of independence and students are allowed to do what pleases them.
Dislikes
- The college is in the outskirts of chennai and it takes around 2 hours to reach the main city of chennai.
- Compulsory bus fees for day scholars increases the cost of living in PG
Placement Experience:
From the 6th semester, students are eligible for company placements. The placement for computer science and IT courses is very good. For the mechanical department, it is pretty average and you can expect an average salary of 6 lakh per annum and the highest of 12 lakh per annum in core companies and the highest of 18 lakh per annum in IT or management companies. Most of the students in mechanical opt for higher studies but 90% placement is provided for all the students. I plan to go for MBA after graduation.

- And Sports facilities also excellent here.
Dislikes
- Hostel food is not much food. But manageable.
Placement Experience:
Placements are excellent in my college. All kind of companies will come. Highest package is 25lakhs and average package is 4LPA. 99% of the students will be placed in any of the companies. My plan is to do the job after degree.

- Friendly staffs.
Dislikes
- Hostellers are not allowed to board dayscholars bus.
Placement Experience:
From 3rd year onwards placement training is given. And some get placed before their 6th semester itself. The highest package is 1cr per annum and the average package is around 20LPA. Almost 90% of students are placed. Many top companies like Wipro, Infosys, tata, hcl, cts, Deloitte, mr.cooper, etc. The offers made are around 1000.

99 percent of placements are provided in our college. The highest package in our college is 1.17 crore. Even if you are not placed, there is an opportunity for higher studies in which you will place after that.
