B.E./B.Tech. admissions to Kamaraj College of Engineering and Technology are made through the TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions) counseling which allots engineering seats to the students based on the merit list.
How to Apply?
- The merit list is prepared by the Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu depending upon the cut off marks scored by the students in 12th examinations.
- The cut off is calculated based on their marks in subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- Then M.E./M.Tech. admissions are carried out through the marks scored by the applicants in the TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test) examination.
KCET Virudhunagar Placement
Kamaraj College of Engineering and Technology has a Training Development & Placement (TDP) Cell which strives hard for improving the students’ professional and communicative skills, thus helping them to get placed in a good organization. It devises systematic and structural planning for training students from the first year until the final year. TDP cell consists of Student Placement Coordinators (SPCs), who take care of the placement related activities. Many leading companies like Zoho, Infosys Technologies, Cognizant, Wipro, TCS, Hexaware Technologies, HCL, Justdial, Neeyamo Technologies, etc visit the college for the placements regularly. The highest package offered to the students is 4.6 LPA and the average package of all the students is 2.05 LPA.

KCET Virudhunagar Scholarship
Kamaraj College of Engineering and Technology facilitates needy students to get scholarships. They facilitate in government-provided scholarships, fee waivers for those from the EWS category. They also provide scholarships from the college institution funds. Scholarships are also provided to the meritorious students. In the academic year for 2018-19, 1045 students received a full tuition fee waiver from the government scholarship, while 13 students received a full tuition fee waiver from the college scholarship.

KCET Virudhunagar Facility
The key facilities of KCET are listed below.
- Library: A central library is present with an area of about 1981.08 sq.m. and is capable of accommodating 500 persons at a time. Students can get access to various Collection of Books, National and International Journals, CD-ROMs, Online Journals, Question banks, Project Reports, etc.
- Edusat Program: An agreement has been signed with Anna University Chennai for the Edusat Program. The program telecasts the live lectures by the Guest Lecturers from AU Chennai.
- Wi-Fi: Wi-Fi facility is available across the entire college campus which is free for students and staff. Uninterrupted and high-speed internet connectivity of 45 Mbps can be used by the students for their education, projects and to improve their knowledge.
- Bank & ATM: A small extension of Tamilnadu Mercantile Bank is functioning on the campus from 2001, where the students can pay all their fees through the bank counter. Further, a separate ATM counter is also functioning for meeting the urgent requirements of the students.
- Transport: Around 30 buses are present in the college for the purpose of transportation. A transport facility is available for both students and staff. All the buses will pick up students and staff around different regions of Virudhunagar.

Likes
- Labs are the best places for applying what we learn; they assist us in learning on our own.
- The internship was good. We had a scholarship that helped us in many ways, and we also had some sponsors. Additionally, we gained a lot of good information, and the relationship between staff and students was very good.
Dislikes
- It is not research-based; they are always concerned with the results, so they never give any opportunities for research. It is really bad because they never allow us to participate in other college events on working days.
- There is no such term called internship in our college. Few companies were expected to pay a stipend after they recruited a few of our employees in the campus interview, but it didnt happen.

This is the college I have been choosed first. I got the admission through management couta for My cutoff. For Ece 138.5 is the cut off for Management couta for Counseling fees. I didn't applied for any other college

- Hostel facilities for hostel students are good.

- Campus interview is not for all branches of students, as many companies are from IT sector only.
- Bus facilities are there but during evening study bus will not go to our regular stops sometimes bus gobupto only city main entrance Periyar nilayam.

As this college only had Btech Biotechnology course in Virudhunagar which is nearer to my madurai comparatively with other college qnd rven for my cutoff marks in AnnaUniversity Engineering Counselling in 2016.Counselling process is simple I have paid the fees with my mother and uncle and they taken a ID photo and after 10 days I joined the college.

- Cleanliness, they maintain college campuses, class rooms, lab and toilet clean as compared to other colleges around Madurai.
- Facilities like library, computer lab and other basic need for the course is available from 8.30 am to 6.00 pm
Dislikes
- I feel the standard of staffs in our department is low, because they didn't encourage us to do projects rather they will give idea based on their knowledge and I completed project.
- I used to go by college bus, its not in good condition. Probably they used many second handed or third-handed bus.
Admission:
I have entered through Engineering counselling where I paid 5000/-. One of my friends joined through management quote, which is 50% higher than our college fees. We have daily test, weekly assignments and monthly test, only through these test our staffs calculate internal marks. Timing were followed based on curriculum. I don't find any difficulty for admission.

The admission process was done by the manager of Kamaraj College of Engineering and Technology. I asked for the Computer and Engineering course. The eligibility of the computer science group was to have the cut-off above 120. I have the cut-off 121. So I took the computer science course. The application form can be brought from the college. We can apply online.

The admission for UG and PG courses are done as per the government Norms. For UG courses, 65% of the intake is admitted through a Single Window System conducted by the Government of Tamil Nadu. The 35% of the intake is done through the single window system.

The admission process was very easy. I got the application form from the college (offline). im not sure about the reservation details since I didn't use them. no improvements were required in the admission process everything was good enough.

Admission is based on the marks that we have scored in our board exams. Eligibility of the course is, you should have at least 180 cutoffs. We can get the application form in the office room and no application fee will be collected. Once we fill out the application they will collect all your details including the board exam marksheet. We will be called once our seat is confirmed.
