My experience at Jeppiaar

Likes

The old building gives you good ambience
Staffs are good , informative and friendly
There is no conjustion since there's a seperate building for each departments

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course and curriculum changes every 43 years according to anna university...the course is fixed by anna university and it is availble in stucor app or you can find it in the internet ...technically we have 4 -6 subjects per semester

About my Heaven College

Likes

Teachers are very friendly and helpful to grow ourselves.
Nice atmosphere for the students with natural space.
Culturals and symposiums will be very jollyful.

Dislikes

No proper maintenance of bathrooms in departments
Water stagnation is more during rainy season
Bus arrival will be late in the morning.

Placement Experience:

Placements are very good at this college as many companies have contracts with our college . Mostly cognizant, Infosys, TCS are arriving companies for placements with a minimum LPA of 3 . More than 5 students are getting placed in each companies. The highest package is about 7 LPA. In this college a student who got offer letter from another company can also attend placement for another companies. I have plans to become a freelancer like doing graphic designs and web developer.

cultural is the only thing the students like in this college, but it not that like good but its ok then some other colleges,that day only all we enjoy .there stalls from out sides ,many of fun events conducted during culturals
evening time the college looks very peacefull, we can roam here and there .

Dislikes

food in hostel, it is the worst thing in the hostel. they treat like ahh dog, and they do not provide correct amount of food

Placement Experience:

from 6th sem students become eligible for campus placements. amazon, mahendra,tcl etc.. highest package is 27 lpa and low s 3 lpa. 75 percentage of students get placements going to it sectors are trying to government exams

I liked all the staffs who were friendly and enthusiastic.
No strict rules are followed. You can wear chudidhar but in good ways.
Culturals , sports and other activities are well managed and we do enjoy all the cultural and symposium events.

Dislikes

I didn't like the way the wash basin was inside the campus
I missed my homely food. I would like to have more kind of homely food inside my campus
I would prefer more kind of snaky items in canteen

Placement Experience:

The students get placements from the last semester that is the 8th semester. The companies which have visited a campus are HCL Infosys TCS Zoho Microsoft. The percentage should be around 60 -100 percentage.

There is nothing much I like about this college. We have less faculties in our department so for odd sems we don’t usually have more classes but in even sems we’ll regularly have classes, more than we had in odd sems

Dislikes

I hate the food and the way the campus is maintained. So if you think they provide good food, no they’re not! It’s like an average meal but sometimes it won’t be good at all.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This college is affiliated to Anna University so we follow the same curriculum as any affiliated college does. In the 3rd year you get to choose a stream for honours but that's applicable only if you have no history of arrears. The difficulty level of our exams are between easy and moderately difficult, but won't be too difficult.

Real Student experience in Jeppiaar Engineering College

Likes

The good aspects of my college were friendly staff and they'll give you enough freedom incase if you wanna go to off-campus internships
The staffs will help you really good during placements and for exam preparation
The extracurricular activities are very well encouraged and appreciated in that college

Dislikes

The infrastructure is not very well maintained, even the food isn't that good
The restrooms were the worst part of that entire college, One would give zero to the hygiene of the restrooms in the department buildings
Library books aren't good and unnecessary money spends will happen in that college

Placement Experience:

Placements for Biotechnology department is very bad, but I got placed though. The number of companies come is 2 or 3. But if u get selected to those companies, then it's fine. But it's really hard to get into those companies. Zifo, some medical coding companies will come. Some of my friends placed in IT companies. You can attend for job placements irrespective of the field you're coming from. Other departments get numerous placement opportunities, so it's fine if someone wants to pursue in different field opportunities

Staff Behaviour is overall good.The teaching of the facilities are good
Bus Service for Dayscholar . They provide bus for all the areas in Chennai

Food is okay only.Hostellers are facing some struggle to adopt

Placements are moderated because of Recession is occurring in the IT Fields.They gave It support role and BPO roles.They gave Marketing roles for every departments students to crack it.The overall palcement is fine.

Likes

Professors and their involvement in students character and professional development
The food provided there is really good. Both break fast and lunch is provided for dayscholars.
The campus is very big and student interaction is lenient.

Dislikes

Books provided are sometimes torn and we are asked to return the book after each semester.
Boys and girls shouldnt talk much with each other.
The boys to girls ratio is 2:1 so there are less girls in the college.

Placement Experience:

My college has a placement cell and guarantees placement. We have a 97% placement percentage. The average salary provided is 500000 per annum in the CSE department. The highest was provided by ZOHO corp with a salary of 2300000.

They provide buses for dayscholar students.For buses no extra fee is asked.
Club events are appreciated very well.example clubs like Rotaract, yuva etc..
Lunch is provided during lunch break and yea is provided during snack break

Dislikes

Teaching could be better some faculties doesn't have a proper English knowledge being in a English medium college
The infrastructure is old and not upto date
The cgpa and placement offer's lpa is not worthy

While i am joining here i experienced good teaching facilities

Dislikes

In this college there is no proper maintaining of departments but now it is changing
In this college food is not proper and there is a small canteen

In this college, during the 7th semester, students are eligible to write the placement exams and attend the interviews. Many companies came to this college last year but now it is low compared to last year. Without arrears students are eligible for placement so companies have already announced eligible students criteria .
