The most disappointing thing about the college is it is approx one hundred and fourty eight kilo meters away from main city which is very harrarising other than that i don't feel any other difficulties.hit is itself a new world for us many thing we experience from here.
If students are hard worker then students will got the job because college give more opportunity of the students.so i like this system.
I choose WBJEE and my rank was 4572. I choose computer science as it was of my interest.You can also get admitted to this via the AIEEE which has now changed to JEE Prelims.
I took WBJEE entrance examination and score a rank of 8039 and got the college and department in 2nd counselling. Usually the seats for Mechanical department gets closed within 2000 - 3000 rank. I was lucky enough to get a seat at my rank in the second round of counselling.
Exam-WBJEE, Rank-6171 I opted for this college because of its infrastructure,placement and faculties and feedback.
JEE mains, score-101. I heard about the placement of college is good from my friends. This college is also near from my home state which is bihar.
I get admission in haldia institute of technology after scoring good rank in WBJEE entrance exam. It is similar to JEE exam taken by CBSE. After the result published you have to go through online counselling process.
I got HIT college through WBJEE examination which is held every year , the exam is conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board for allotting college in accordance with the student's eligibility. I secured 10412 rank in this exam after which a counselling process was held in which i got Haldia Institute of Technology in third round. I googled about this college and found it quite acceptable to me so i did not waste anymore time and went for it and moreover i was also getting my preferred Branch so i got myself enrolled in this institution.
One of the main drawback is that it is very far from Kolkata city. Distance is 140 km and it usually takes 3-4 hours through bus or train.
Haldia Institute of Technology is one of the largest residential engineering institutes in West Bengal. It is spread over an area of 36.98 acres of land and has been ranked at 163 position by NIRF ranking. The college is also accredited with A grade by NAAC
Courses:
The college offers various courses- B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA and MCA with a number of specialisations. The college offers B.Tech in CE, CSE, ECE, ME, IT, EE, Biotech and in many other specialisations and M.Tech in ECE, CSE, CE, ME and Biotechnology. The college has also offered new courses for B.Tech in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and cyber security. Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering and Chemical Engineering are top departments.
Placements:
As per the data of batch 2017-18, 72% students were placed and around 140 companies visited the campus for placements. Some of the top recruiters were Wipro, Infosys, IBM, Tech Mahindra, Amazon, Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd, Nestle, Adani Wilmar etc.
Fest:
The college also organises annual cultural fest “Riviera” and annual Techno Management fest- Prayukti”. A lot of competitions and events are held during the fest and different colleges participate in the same.
