Government Engineering College Bikaner, is an autonomous Engineering college located at Bikaner, Rajasthan, India. The college was established in the year of 2000. The institute is affiliated to Rajasthan Technical University, Kota.
ECB Bikaner offers courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the fields of engineering, sciences, management, design and humanities with a primary focus on engineering. Undergraduate courses Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) programs and Postgraduate degrees award Master of Technology (M.Tech), Master of Science (M.Sc.), Master of Business Administration (M.B.A) and Master of Computer Application (MCA).
Admission to the B.Tech program is done through merit in JEE Main whereas for admission to the two-year M.Tech program, candidates need to sit for GATE examination. Admission to rest of the programs (BBA, BCA, MBA, MCA, M.Sc) are done strictly on the basis of merit in the pre-qualifying examination.
- As prescribed by the Govt. of Rajasthan (except in case of Private unaided Institutions and 50% seats in the self finance course of the aided institutions) the reservation of seats will be made subject to the prevalent statutory provisions of the State of Rajasthan viz. 16% for SC candidates, 12% for ST candidates, 21% for candidates belonging to non-creamy layer OBC category.
- As per the state government, the 45% seats of prescribed 12% ST quota will be reserved for TSP (Tribal Sub Plan) in all institutions where ST reservation is available. The candidates who belong to notified areas of five districts namely Banswara, Dungarpur, Pratapgarh, Udaipur and Sirohi (i.e. districts in tribal region), and come under ST reservation will be eligible under this quota.
- Provision will also be made for horizontal reservation of 3% for candidates belonging to physically handicapped (PwD), 25% for women category and 3% for dependants of Defence Killed/Ex-servicemen / Gallantry award winners.
- 5% of total intake capacity over and above the sanctioned strength in each of the institutions will be reserved for Kashmiri migrants.

At the undergraduate level, Government Engineering College (ECB) Bikaner offers Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree program under seven different specializations of Engineering.
The minimum academic qualification for admission to B.Tech./B.E. program in Rajasthan is a pass with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to “SC/ST/Non creamy layer OBC/ Non creamy layer SBC” of Rajasthan State) with Physics and Maths and one subject from Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science/ Technical Vocational Subjects from a recognized board / university.
Admission to the B.Tech program is done either through JEE Main or 12th class merit. Candidates are required to fill the online application form for Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process (REAP) admission. REAP application form is available from 15th May to 15th June through online mode.
- Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 01 October, 1992 are eligible to apply.
- Relaxation of 5 years will be provided in the upper age limit of SC/ST/PwD candidates i.e., they must born on or after 01 October, 1987.
- Date of Birth mentioned in secondary education mark sheet/certificate will be taken into consideration.

Government Engineering College (ECB) Bikaner BBA and BCA Admission 2024
In addition to the B.Tech program, ECB Bikaner also offers a three-year Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree program and a three-year Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) program at the undergraduate level.
Admission in the BBA program is done on the basis of marks scored in 10+2 level or equivalent in the relevant subjects with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate. Candidates belonging to SC / ST categories need to score minimum pass marks to be eligible for admission.
Candidates seeking admission in the BCA program must have passed 10+2 level examination or equivalent examination with English and Mathematics / Computer Science/Computer Application / Information Practices/Statistics as subjects in the qualifying examination with at least 48% marks in aggregate. Candidates belonging to SC / ST categories need to score minimum pass marks to be eligible for admission.
Admission to the BBA and BCA programs are strictly done on the basis of merit in the last qualifying examination.

Government Engineering College (ECB) Bikaner MBA and MCA Admission 2024
At the postgraduate level, ECB Bikaner offers Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Computer Application (MCA) degree programs to the aspiring candidates.
To be eligible for the MCA program, candidates need to hold a graduation degree along with Mathematics in 10+2 level. Candidates holding a BCA degree are also considered eligible for the MCA program. Candidates who have secured minimum marks in Graduation level examination are eligible to apply for the MBA program.
Admission to the MCA and MBA programs are purely based on merit in the last qualifying examination.

- The faculty expertise are good and also there teaching methods are very helpful. I liked the relationship mentors build with the students which gives them confidence to interact with the mentors without any hesitation and most of them are very helpf
- The regularity of lectures and supportive nature of teachers as well as HOD's is a bless.
Dislikes
- The irregularities of conducting exams and also the results makes trouble because it leads to take a session out of track and hence student didn't get time to cover up the mess created by this kind of irregularities.
- Cultural activities like fest and other events like hackathon, coding events are not held in this college.
Admission:
REAP exam is conducted for admission process of this course in any college of Rajasthan. REAP exam score decide the allotment of seats in college of this particular course.12th percentage should be 70% or more or JEE score should be 70% in physics, chemistry, maths to get the direct admission . - Sometimes university delays examination by a month or two.
- To get one certificate you need to wait for longs.

12th with PCM and should have minimum 60% in 10th & 12th. Admission process will done with REAP By Rajasthan Govt for Free seats. also there will be direct admission. Exam will be moderate level. Each exam will be of 3 hours and optional exams will be of 2 hours.

I take admission through REAP program. There are some cutoff for some branch only. There are many benefits for admission in ecb because they are government college and faculty are also good. College are nice.
Likes
- The faculty is bit dusty but is good as most of them are either IITians or nitians or perusing phd from iit.
- Availability of wifi almost throughout the campus.
Dislikes
- The area this college is situated in is pretty remote the nearest locality is about 1.5 km away.
- The university governing this college is delaying exams and results since corona time and hasn't recovered from it till now.

The application process: Apply to REAP(counseling process) with the jee mains percentile and on that basis college and branch is allowed, Application form gets online in the admissions months i.e. around jee mains results declaration. In my opinion, its alright and doesn't require any urgent improvements.
