04 Aug, 2025 Cooperative Institute of Technology Vadakara has released the list of candidates shortlisted for First Real-Time BTech Admission 2025. Check List Here. The first real-time admission round will be conducted from Aug 4 to 6, 2025, followed by registration for second round @admissions.cusat.ac.in from Aug 6 to 7, 2025. Check Schedule.
College of Engineering Vadakara (CEV) formerly known as Co-operative Institute of Technology, Vadakara, is the first engineering college under Co-operative Academy of Professional Education (CAPE) established by Govt. of Kerala in the year 1999. The College is affiliated to Cochin University of Science and Technology.
Co-operative Institute of Technology offers Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) and B.Tech Lateral under UG Program to the eligible candidates who want to build their career in the field of Engineering. Apart from the UG courses, the college also offers Master of Computer Applications (MCA) and MCA lateral at postgraduate level.
- Admission to the B.Tech programs are done through Common Entrance Exam conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE) Kerala.
- The admission to B.Tech Lateral is done through Lateral Entry Entrance Test (LET) conducted by Govt. of Kerala.
- For admission in the MCA program, entrance examination will be conducted by the Director, LBS Centre for Science and Technology for the selection of candidates. A Candidate seeking admission to the direct second year of MCA course is selected on the basis of marks obtained in recognized regular bachelor's degree.

Co-operative Institute of Technology, Vadakara, Kerala B.Tech Admission 2024
College of Engineering, Vadakara offers undergraduate courses like Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) and B.Tech Lateral to the students who want to build their career in the field of Engineering. The B.Tech specializations are Civil engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering and Information Technology. The duration period of the B.Tech programs is four years. The intake capacity for each of the B.Tech specializations is 63 seats.
Admissions to the B.Tech programs are done through Common Entrance Exam conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE) Kerala. Candidates who have passed 10+2 level or equivalent with 50% marks in Mathematics separately, and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics put together are eligible for admission.
The admission to B.Tech Lateral is done through Lateral Entry Test (LET) conducted by Govt. of Kerala. Candidates who have a Diploma in Engineering awarded by the State Board of Technological Examinations or an Examination recognized equivalent thereto, by the state board of Technical Education after undergoing an Institutional course of at least three years securing a minimum of 60% marks in the Diploma Examination are eligible for admission.

- 35% of seats in Management Quota with higher fees are filled through online allotment System by CEE.

- Candidates belonging to socially and educationally backward classes with a total annual family income not exceeding INR 4.5 lakhs will have relaxation of 5% marks in the Qualifying Examination.

Co-operative Institute of Technology, Vadakara also offers Master of Computer Applications (MCA) and MCA Lateral for a duration period of three years and two years respectively. The intake capacity for MCA is 60 seats.
Entrance examination will be conducted by the Director, LBS Centre for Science and Technology for the selection of candidates for admission to MCA Course. All candidates who are eligible for admission and whose application have been accepted will be allowed to appear for the Entrance Examination.
A Candidate seeking admission to the direct second year of MCA course is selected on the basis of marks obtained in recognized regular bachelor's degree in Computer Science / IT/ Computer Application / Computer Science & Engineering of minimum three-year duration.

- Categorization of seats for MCA admission:
- Government seats are those seats against which allotment will be made by the Director, LBS Centre for Science and Technology under the supervision of Director of Technical Education based on the rank list published by him.
- Management seats are those seats set apart in Aided/Self-financing institutions to be filled up by the Management concerned on the basis of the Supreme Court direction and Government Orders on this behalf.
- Lapsed seats are those seats that may be filled up by the institution itself when the Director, LBS Centre for Science and Technology intimates that he would not be allotting any more candidates against such seats.
- Allocation of seats for MCA admission:
- 50% of total seats are reserved for State Merit candidates.
- 10% of total seats are reserved for Forward Community Members belonging to BPL category.
- 30% seats are reserved for Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC).
- 10% of total seats are reserved for ST and SC candidates.

Application for appearing in the MCA Entrance Examination
- Candidates seeking admission to the course have to apply online through the website of the Director of LBS Centre for Science and Technology.
- Application Fee for General and SEBC candidates is INR 1,000 (Rupees Thousand Only). In the case of SC/ST candidates and those eligible for SC/ST benefits the application fee is INR 500 (Rupees Five Hundred Only).
- Application fee can be remitted at any one of the branches of the Scheduled Bank (to be notified) in Kerala.
The application form for admission to B.Tech courses can either be downloaded from the official website of CAPE Engineering Colleges
- The application fee for B.Tech courses under NRI quota seats will be INR 600 which shall be remitted only by way of Demand Draft drawn on State Bank of Travancore in favor of the Principal of concerned Engineering Colleges.
- No fee concession shall be allowed to SC/ST/SEBC/OBC/OEC candidates.
- Application fee once remitted shall not be refunded under any circumstances. Applications without application fee will summarily be rejected.
