Chennai Institute of Technology- Pros and Cons

In Chennai Institute of Technology, the yearly fees is 2,60,000 Rs per year, including bus fees, lab fees, developement fees and others, for day scholars. For hostellers, bus fees is not included. Instead, Hostel fees and mess fees are included. In 3rd year, there will be a placement training programme. It will significantly cost based on the course you are choosing. For my batchmates, who has admitted under Government Quota, has comparatively spent lesser fee than those on Management Quota.

Rising CIT!

As a management quota student,Yearly fee structure of BE.CSE was 1.3L/year which includes bus fees and academic fee. Other than that there were exam fees, which costed around 6k/sem and miscellaneous fees around 1k, and paper fees around 1k per semester! For those who got into CIT thru government quota,had fee structure of 35k/ year and some of them had free who were from other states such as J&K, government provided complete funding for them. Few of the students got scholarship from charities and college provided decent scholarship schemes

Merit based tuition fee and its under the regulations of Anna University. Students will be aided with scholarships based on their scores and their cut-off in the SSLC examination. All the fee are as per the Anna University norms.

My college life

Tution fee of college is about 1.1 lakhs including hostel fees the total fees was 2.3 lakhs and for dayscholer the total fees was 1.7 lakhs.Even for reference material, exam paper and records we have to pay additional amount. Community scholarships are available.

Students who have good score in +12 are provided with scholarship. scholarships like community scholarship, FG likewise many scholarships are given to the students. The students who take admission in the college directly without any good marks are asked to pay around 300000 per year excluding hostel. But there are many good things for the ones who come through councelling and the ones in poverty. College conducts many scholarship exams where students get reduction fees. College also supports us to take many scholarship exams from the external websites which is also very useful.

Everything you need to know about CIT

I like the academic pursuits of this college which includes the mode of preparation the college follows in order to train the students for exams. UPC( university preparation classes) is one of the best mode of preparation given to students.

More number of examinations which can be reduced a bit to relieve the students.

Complete cost of my education is 1,70,000 which includes 60,000 as my transport fee and 1,10,000 as my course fee. There are certain scholarships given to students based on the reservation categories. In terms of placements the college provides excellent opportunities for the students.

There will be chance of getting scholarship if you score good cutoff which is above 185. I scored 145 and i got the seat through management and my fees here for a year - 185000 including transportation because i am dayscholar and not opted for hostel. If you chose hostel the fees will be more than this in the year 2020. Now in 2024 the fee structure chaged.
