Dyal Singh Evening College UG Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with an aggregate of 45% marks for admission to Honours courses.
For B.Com/ B.A. (Program), candidates require aggregate of 40% marks.
Selection is made on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination that includes one language and three best subjects.

Note- Applicant must have passed Mathematics/Business Mathematics in 10+2 for admission to B.Com. (Hons.).

Girl candidates are allowed 1% relaxation in all courses.
There is no minimum age bar for admission to the undergraduate courses.
The applicants with gap year(s) are also eligible for admission.

Dyal Singh Evening College UG Selection Criteria

Admission is done on Merit-basis on the marks scored in higher secondary (10+2) examinations in accordance with Delhi University Guidelines and provisions.
A cut-off list of marks is released for all the colleges and courses

Infrastructure is good as you have great space for all the activities
Library of college is very good because it is air conditioned and neat and clean and contains almost every book.

Dislikes

Some time in our college fight took place in every Event which will send a bad impact on others thats why police vans are always stand in front of college.
Annual fest is not good, there is lack of departments in the college.

College Societies - There are several cultural and academic societies in college that give lots of exposure.
NCC - DSC's NCC is one of the best among DU colleges. Since couple of years many cadets got recommended in OTA and IMA through NCC special entry. It has army and naval wing NCC

Dislikes

College Canteen - Though things keep changing for better but the years I've been in college the canteen food was not so hygienic.
Fests - This college does not spend much on organising annual fests.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Students have multiple choices when it comes to the course. Even for BA there are different subject combinations. My combination was Human Resource Management + Economics. The teaching method for this course could have been more engaging and practical as the curriculum prepares for real world application. The level of exam is easy to medium.

Likes

The food of the canteen is really good and affordable as well, also one can find several eateries outside the college as well.

Dislikes

The time table made is actually not that good, it must be made in a way that will not actually waste time of students.
The placement opportunities should also be taken care of in more number,one can get placed but it should be taken much care of.

Course Curriculum Overview:

One of my teacher also told me that the course which I've opted is really good and informative, as in this I study the subjects of bcom, bcom honors, bba and ba as well. It provides me overall knowledge of all the subjects, so that's why I've opted this very course. The curriculum also prepared hs for real world applications as it provides us with knowledge of the corporate world as well. The teaching methods by the teachers are also well prepared, they make us prepare presentation and all which further will help in the corporate world for us.

I really liked the campus life at DSC DU as it provides exposure and experience to working in teams and with different people.
The payment and fee is very good that makes it affordable for everyone to attain good higher education.

Dislikes

The admin department is a but rude and slackish in their work and makes student roam around the college for errors in exam form and other documents.
Teachers come sometime late and informs students at the last moment giving them no space to adjust.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very good based on my experience as it the subjects included in the course curriculum are up to date and useful in future scope and are updated timely and also they provide different skill enhancement and value addition courses which help in improving the overall profile of the studnent. Exams are semester wise.

DSEC College is renowned for its high academic standards, offering quality education across various disciplines.

Dislikes

Wish they'd give us more chances with the entrance exam. Once a year feels like a lot of pressure, especially if something doesn't click on exam day
While it's cool they normalize the scores, it'd be even cooler if they were clearer about how they do it. It's like trying to solve a puzzle without all the pieces

Course Curriculum Overview:

So, the new curriculum's pretty cool. Now we've got all these different course combos to choose from, like mixing economics with computer science – something we couldn't do before. Plus, they've thrown in these extra courses to boost our skills and add value, setting us up nicely for whatever comes next. But hey, it's not all smooth sailing. The class schedule's all over the place, which ends up wasting time, you know? And the teaching style could use a bit more practical stuff to help us really get it. And don't even get me started on the exams. We've got these semester tests twice a year, and honestly, they're a bit of a rollercoaster. You study what the teachers say is important, then boom, the exam throws you a curveball. It's like, what's up with that?

Adminstration staff is not so friendly, they behave rudely
College have no good infrastructure for disabled peoples

First my course name is ba programme(Human resources management+ Economics). And i like this course because i just like to study the management courses. And in this course we have to get easily interships. And the difficulty level is also moderate. Not much difficult.
