Agartala Government Medical College is located at Agartala, the capital city of Tripura, India, established in 2005. The college is recognised by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and is affiliated to Tripura University.

The college offers MBBS course at the undergraduate level, M.D. and M.S. courses at the postgraduate level with numerous specializations.

Admission to the MBBS course is offered based on NEET UG score of the candidates, whereas, for the MD/MS courses, admission is given to the seeking candidates on the basis of marks obtained in NEET PG.

Fifty percent (50%) of degree seats of State Quota will be reserved for Medical Officer employed by Government of Tripura. Degree seats of State Quota will be reserved for the Govt. Sponsored Candidate as per Government training reserved rules of Govt. of Tripura
Reservation for SC/ST/PC (Physically Challenged) Candidates, for both Govt. Sponsored and Open seats, will be as per the 100 - Point roster as ordered by Govt. of Tripura.

Agartala Medical Government College MBBS Admission 2024

Agartala Medical Govt. college offers the MBBS degree at the Undergraduate level for a duration of five and a half years. The candidate shall complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December, of the year of admission to the MBBS course.

Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher Secondary Examination comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Biology or any other elective subjects with English at a level not less than core course of English as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training after the introduction of the 10+2+3 years educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on education. All or any such examination must be recognized by the Tripura University for the purpose of admission.

Admission to the MBBS course is through NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

Agartala Medical Government College MD and MS Admission 2024

The college also offers Postgraduate Medical Courses like MD and MS degrees under various specializations. A candidate applying for these courses must have completed the MBBS degree recognized by Medical Council of India. The duration periods of the MD and MS programmes are three years and two years, respectively.

Eligible candidates will have to appear in NEET PG conducted by the National Board of Education (NBE) in order to get admission to the MD/MS programmes.

Candidate will submit Crossed demand draft / Banker's Cheque of Rs. 2500/- as applicable in favour of "The Director, Medical Education, Government of Tripura" along with the attested photocopies of the supporting documents with her / his application form
Copy of the Application form duly signed along with above mentioned documents is to be put in envelope. Candidate should write the name of the Examination on the top of envelope clearly, and submit the filled in and signed form to the office of the Director of Medical Education

Admission:

For admission, you should have passed the 12th class and qualified in NEET UG. The cutoff is usually around 600. The application form for counselling is available on the nta website once they announce the counselling process. Reservation is available as per central govt rules. The NEET exam is very tough.

For the admission process , at first at lecture hall 4 we had to full the application form provided and then we had to undergo some tests such as blood pressure and vital findings were taken .Then the application form with all the required documents were submitted at the meeting room just beside the academic section . Then the money had to be given at the cash account section where the receipt is provided and that's all.

The admission process is very methodical. Before admission into the college a student must first be eligible for the course. Eligibility criteria: •Qualified NEET examination •Applied and acquired a seat in the college through state counseling or All India Counselling The application form, application fees and application dates are given in the website dme.tripura.gov.in (Directorate of Medical Education) and the students are advised to follow the website for any new updates on this subject. The Reservation Benefits are Different Marks depending upon the category, There are 125 seats per batch and applicants of each category are selected based on NEET score. The National Eligibility cum Entrance test is conducted once every year with lakhs of applicants.coming to difficulty level,I believe it's not easy but with Enough preparation,practice, and dedication it's not difficult either. The eligible applicant has to collect verification letter from the DME office.
