Delhi School of Economics (DSE) is one of the most reputed colleges in India affiliated to the University Of Delhi. DSE offers a variety of courses including Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Master of Arts (M .A.), Master of Commerce (M .Com), Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.), and Ph.D. in numerous subjects including Economics, Sociology, and Geography. There are two-degree level professional MBA courses are offered by the Department of Commerce: MBA in International Business (MIB) MBA in Human Resource Development and Organizational Development (MHROD) There are 81 seats available in this college for the above courses. The admission is done on the basis of the percentile obtained by the student in the CAT exam. The minimum cutoff for admission in the MBA course at DSE remains around above 90 percentile and there is no sectional cut-off. The selection is not done entirely on the basis of the CAT score. Delhi School of Economics admission 2023 for all UG and PG programs are closed now. NTA has announced CUET UG 2024 and CUET UG 2024 exam dates. The CUET UG 2024 exam will be held from May 15 to May 31, while the CUET PG 2024 exam is scheduled to be held from March 11 to March 28, 2024.

Delhi School of Economics admissions to all UG and PG courses are done through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS UG/CSAS PG) Portal based on CUET scores. Delhi School of Economics Cutoff 2023

Delhi School of Economics cutoff 2023 or seat allotment for UG courses will be released soon through the DU CSAS portal. Selected candidates or candidates who have been allotted seats in any of the CSAS rounds must pay the admission fee and submit the required documents to confirm their seats. Upon acceptance of a seat, the college will check eligibility, verify documents, and confirm admission after receiving the payment of the fee. Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) Admission Process 2023

Delhi University is conducting admissions to all UG and PG programs through Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) for all its affiliated colleges. The entire process is explained below:

Phase 1: CSAS Application Form

Aspirants are required to fill the CSAS application form on the centralized admission portal by paying a one-time non-refundable application fee.
ECA and sports quota candidates will have to pay an additional fee.

Phase 2: Selection of Courses and College Preferences

Second phase will start after the results of the CUET examination are declared.
After the CUET Result declaration, eligible candidates will have to select the courses and fill the preference of desired colleges on the centralised CSAS portal.

Phase 3: Seat Allocation and Final Admission

Seat Allotment will be released on the basis of CUET scores, the combination of college and program chosen, the position of the candidate on the merit list, category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/UR) of the candidate, and availability of seats.
Multiple rounds of seat allotment will be conducted.
Candidates will have to check if they have been allotted a seat on the CSAS dashboard. If allotted, candidates must accept their seat on or before the given date for that particular round.
Seat allocation will be based on multiple factors such as - combination of college and program chosen, position of the candidate on the merit list, category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/UR) of the candidate, and availability of seats.
Upon acceptance of seat, the university will check eligibility, verify documents, and confirm admission after receiving the payment of fees.

The first thing which is USP of MBA program of DSE is, it is a student run campus where student get opportunity to gain hands on experience on management.
If we are talking about DSE we can't ignore ROI factor which we get that is one of the best in India

Dislikes

Particular if we talk about Department of Commerce, Department need rennovation in its infrastructure
Curriculam should be updated and more real life case study should be included in the classes

Admission:

If you want to take admission in DSE MBA program you need to appear for CAT exam and for getting admission you need to secure 94+ percentile for being in safe side. 1st counselling take place in month April, 2nd in month of July and 3rd in month of August. There should not be that much gap in 1st and 2nd counselling, it leads to mental pressure on student who is got waitlisted in 1st counselling and there in maximum withdrawal from 1st counselling admission .

Learning HRD the right way at DSE

The ROI is the best part of the college, even though the fees has increased from the last time significantly. The ROI is still one of the best in India
Being in the DSE campus, you get to interact with a lot of people from different streams.

Poor management from the Dean of college.
College is student driven, lacks help from the faculties in organizing events.

One needs to take CAT to get admission in DSE, we have three courses here MBA-HRD, MBA-IB, MBA-BA. The cutoff for IB goes the highest. For general category it closes around 96-97. For HRD it can range from 94-95 and for BA it goes for somewhere between 91-93. I was also a general category student I had scored 95.66 in CAT and I got admission in the second counselling here. There is usually three rounds of counselling here. The process is pretty simple. They only consider CAT score, 12th marks and 10th marks. Also, there is no GD-PI here as part of admission process. In DSE there is assessment throughout semester but proper exams we only have once at the end that has a weightage of 70%. My only suggestion for the admission process here would be to include GD-PI as part of the process as it would greatly impact the quality of the batch.

Why should you choose dse over other b schools?

low fees is one of the best thing that dse offers.
The legacy of Delhi University and it's widely recognised name .

Old infrastructure and lack of proper space is a concern.
Lack of Industry visit and practical learning.

So first of all you will need to appear for cat exam . The eligibility criteria is quite simple you must be a graduate from a recognised university. So generally dse forms open up in the month of December-January one can visit the official site and fill the form . The admission process is quite simple there's no gdpi round selection is purely based on cat and 10th-12th marks . The reservation criteria is similar to UGC norms . Dse can add gdpi round to their admission.process that's the only lacking thing I can remember.

There's no GDPI round the final merit list is created on the basis of 10-12th and Cat marks 10,10, and 50% of weightage respectively. The reservation benefits are same as followed by University of Delhi .

My batch is very friendly and very helpful

Too relaxed and there is no academic stress
Teaching leaves a lot to be desired and most of the coursework is outdated

Took CAT. The application form is floated on the college website. Had OBC reservation The admission process is fully offline and very archaic. Can be shifted to online. The document verficiation was also very chaotic.

The admissions process is quite simple first you need to appear for cat then apply for MBA ib program on Dse MBA ib website. Dse doesn't have any gdpi round and final merit list is created on the basis of cat marks and 10-12th marks. Dse provide all the reservation benefits decided by ugc . I would like th inclusion of Gdpi round in admission process.

The eligibility of the Course is CAT and registration to the Course from Commerce Du Website. Later after there is no GD PI , its just ranking method based on cutoff. Gd PI could have a benefit but management told that id didn't made any difference as it was part of selection process earlier.

Should be a graduate with 50% in 10th,12th and grad, forms are generally available on official website Annual fees as of now is around 48000 plus an additional student body fund of similar amount (optional) which becomes necessary as the student body helps in placements. This is a typical due college do not expect any premium B School type infrastructure

Afforability of the course as expense is about 1 lakh per annum.
Faculty is helpful and there is not a lot of pressure from their end.

Infrastructure is a bit old which can be improved over time.

The admission process was fluent and had no problem throughout the process. The staff and volunteers were very helpful, they helped in document verification and all the steps. Application form was available on the website and there was no different exam or GD/PI process.
