University of Montreal scholarships for international students are fully-funded and offered for pursuing undergraduate, graduate as well as PhD degrees. There are no specific requirements for UdeM scholarships except for undergraduate scholarships. Students qualifying A or at least B level are eligible for undergraduate scholarships. The University of Montreal scholarships for graduate students are separately offered to non-research and research students. Preference is given to applicants who meet all the eligibility requirements with high academic performance.

Eligibility Criteria

To make themselves eligible for the scholarships at University of Montreal, all international students must fulfill the following eligibility requirements:

  • Meet the minimum admission requirements respective to your course of study
  • Receive an admission offer to study UG, PG or a Phd degree at UdeM
  • Must hold a valid CAQ and study permit
  • Be enrolled as full-time student

Application Process

To receive the University of Montreal scholarships, meet the basic admissions requirements and apply before the given deadline. Follow the below mentioned steps to understand the application process for scholarship:

  • Track your application for admissions and wait for the final decision.
  • Check your offer letter from the Student Center portal.
  • Accept the admission offer once received.
  • Students will automatically be considered for scholarships based on the mentioned eligibility requirements.
  • Those considered for the scholarship will be notified via email including information related to scholarship amount.
  • Take a printout of the scholarship document and keep it as a future reference.

All scholarship seeking applicants must submit their application for admissions at University of Montreal by February 1, 2024. However, international students are encouraged to apply at least 2 days before the deadline to avoid further delays in immigration process.


Selection Process

The selection process for UdeM scholarships is based on the applicant’s overall profile. Undergraduate students must achieve either level A or level B in previous qualifications to receive scholarships. Graduate applicants are required to achieve the minimum requirements with good academic standings. Preference will only be given to those applying before the given admission deadline and hold full-time admissions offer at University of Montreal.
