The affiliated college UG and PG pages leave out MBA and M.A. HRD. They get their results through their own department or college.

MSU Result 2026 Portal by Program Type

MSU runs one result site with a separate page for each exam cycle. Students must open the page that matches the programme type and exam month.

MSU has a large network of affiliated colleges in Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, Tenkasi and Kanyakumari. Autonomous colleges among them hold their own exams. So their students will not find results on the MSU site.

How to Check MSU Result 2026?

The result opens in a few steps on any phone or computer.

1. Open the official result page at msuniv.ac.in or go straight to results.msuniv.com.
2. Pick the exam cycle, such as April 2026 Examination Results.
3. Click the correct link, for example Affiliated College UG Result - April 2026.
4. Type the registration number in the box and submit.
5. Check the name, subjects and marks on the screen.
6. Save a PDF or take a printout for later use.

Example: A B.Com fourth semester student at an affiliated college opens the April 2026 page. The right link is Affiliated College UG Result, not University Department.

What the MSU Grade Card Shows

The online result lists each subject with its marks and pass or fail status. The final grade card comes at the end of the last semester. It lists all courses taken in the whole programme.

Under the M.A. Economics regulations of the university department, the final card shows three things:

• the percentage of marks for the full programme
• the CGPA, rounded to two decimal places
• the overall letter grade

A Passing Board checks the marks first. The Vice Chancellor then approves them, and the Controller of Examinations declares the result.

MSU Grading System and SGPA Calculation

University department PG courses use a 6-point grade scale. The table below comes from the M.A. Economics regulations. Other departments follow a similar pattern, so students should check their own course regulations.

A student needs at least grade C, or grade point 5, to clear a course. Below that, the course has to be written again.

How SGPA Is Worked Out

SGPA is the credit-weighted average of grade points in one semester. Each course's credits are multiplied by its grade point. The sum is then divided by the total credits.

Example: A student scores A+ in a 4-credit course, B in a 4-credit course and A in a 2-credit course. The weighted total is 36 plus 24 plus 16, or 76. Divided by 10 credits, the SGPA is 7.6.

MSU November 2026 Result Timeline

The November 2026 semester exams follow the April cycle. The exam fee deadline without a fine was September 27, 2026. First-year students had until October 22, 2026, or October 26 with a fine.

The last cycle gives a fair idea of timing. Department results came on December 24, 2025. UG and PG results followed on January 12, 2026. So the November 2026 results are expected between late December 2026 and mid-January 2027.

How to Apply for Revaluation and Scrutiny After the Result

MSU offers two online forms after each result. Form A is for getting a copy of the checked answer script. Form B is for asking the university to check the paper again.

Both forms open on msuniv.com soon after the result. Students log in with the registration number and pay online. The April 2026 windows were short, as the table shows.

Important: The portal closes on the last date, and late requests are not accepted.

Many students apply for Form A first. They see the script and then decide on Form B. The revaluation result appears on the same result site under a separate link.

MSU Result Not Showing: Common Fixes

Most result problems come from opening the wrong link. These are the common causes:

• Wrong group: an affiliated college student opens the University Department link, or the other way round.
• Wrong cycle: the student opens the November 2025 page instead of April 2026.
• Autonomous college: the result sits on the college's own site, not on the MSU site.
• Excluded course: MBA and M.A. HRD results do not appear on the common UG and PG pages.
• Pending dues or records: the college may not have cleared the student's exam record yet.

Students can contact the university at 0462 233 3741 or registraroffice@msuniv.ac.in. The result site also lists msuexam@gmail.com for exam queries.
