Chitkara University Punjab's 2026 BE CSE fees total ₹12.70 lakh across eight semesters. CSE in AI and ML with Microsoft totals ₹14.80 lakh, while CSE in AI and Future Technologies totals ₹19 lakh. The difference comes from the programme's semester schedule, so the first payment alone does not show the full four-year cost.

The university also publishes separate fee tables for BCA, BCom, BPharm and BSc Nursing. MBA fees depend on the specialisation and whether the stated payment is per semester or per year. Hostel, mess and personal study expenses are additional. The engineering and MBA schedules discussed here are for 2026; other course figures are from the current official programme pages and should be matched to the student's offer before payment.

Chitkara University Punjab Engineering Fees

BE semester fees

BE semester fees
Programme Semesters 1–2, each Semesters 3–4, each Semesters 5–8, each Eight-semester total
CSE ₹1,55,000 ₹1,50,000 ₹1,65,000 ₹12,70,000
CSE AI and ML with Microsoft ₹1,80,000 ₹1,75,000 ₹1,92,500 ₹14,80,000
CSE AI and Future Technologies ₹2,30,000 ₹2,25,000 ₹2,47,500 ₹19,00,000
ECE, Electrical, Mechanical, Automobile, Mechatronics and Civil options ₹1,25,000 ₹1,00,000 ₹1,00,000 ₹8,50,000
Mechanical or Electrical with a CSE minor ₹1,35,000 ₹1,10,000 ₹1,10,000 ₹9,30,000

For regular CSE, the total adds two payments of ₹1.55 lakh, two of ₹1.50 lakh and four of ₹1.65 lakh. The first two semester amounts include the stated ₹25,000 Educational Technology Services charge and ₹25,000 Career Advancement Services charge respectively. These should not be added again to the table's totals.

The engineering figures apply to the Punjab campus. Similar course names at another campus do not establish the same payment schedule. The official admissions page provides the applicable engineering fee document.

Annual engineering payments

Annual engineering payments
Programme Year 1 Year 2 Year 3 Year 4
CSE ₹3,10,000 ₹3,00,000 ₹3,30,000 ₹3,30,000
AI and ML with Microsoft ₹3,60,000 ₹3,50,000 ₹3,85,000 ₹3,85,000
AI and Future Technologies ₹4,60,000 ₹4,50,000 ₹4,95,000 ₹4,95,000
Listed core engineering options ₹2,50,000 ₹2,00,000 ₹2,00,000 ₹2,00,000
Mechanical or Electrical with CSE minor ₹2,70,000 ₹2,20,000 ₹2,20,000 ₹2,20,000

These annual amounts combine the two semesters in each academic year. CSE becomes more expensive in the third year, whereas the listed core engineering group drops after the first year and then remains at the stated rate. Repeating the first-year amount four times would therefore give the wrong course total.

Comparing the engineering options

The Microsoft-linked AI and ML programme costs ₹2.10 lakh more than regular CSE across four years. AI and Future Technologies is ₹6.30 lakh above regular CSE and ₹4.20 lakh above the Microsoft-linked option. These are differences in scheduled academic payments; accommodation is outside all three amounts.

The CSE minor in the listed Mechanical or Electrical programme adds ₹10,000 per semester compared with the corresponding core fee group. Over eight semesters, the additional academic payment is ₹80,000. Families can use this difference when comparing the core programme with its minor option, without confusing either with the full CSE course.

Chitkara University BCA and BCom Fees

BCA semester fees and total

The regular BCA fee table lists six semesters. The first two payments include the separately named service charges, while later semesters carry the stated programme fee.

BCA semester fees and total
BCA payment Amount
Semester 1, including ETS ₹70,000
Semester 2, including CAS ₹70,000
Semesters 3–6, each ₹65,000
Calculated six-semester total ₹4,00,000

The programme fee within each of the first two semesters is ₹45,000, with a ₹25,000 service charge. In semesters three to six, the listed amount is ₹65,000 per semester. This produces a first-year payment of ₹1.40 lakh and ₹1.30 lakh in each of the following two years.

The calculation concerns regular BCA. The separately named AI and ML course should be checked against its own schedule. Hostel and a personal laptop are not included in the six-semester academic total.

BCom and fourth-year honours fees

The BCom page lists ₹75,000 in each of the first two semesters, followed by ₹77,000 per semester. The first two payments include ₹25,000 each for ETS and CAS respectively.

BCom and fourth-year honours fees
BCom duration Calculation Scheduled total
First six semesters ₹75,000 × 2 + ₹77,000 × 4 ₹4,58,000
Additional honours year ₹77,000 × 2 ₹1,54,000
Eight semesters including honours ₹4,58,000 + ₹1,54,000 ₹6,12,000

The seventh and eighth semesters are identified as the honours option. The additional ₹1.54 lakh should be included when a student plans to continue into that year, rather than being presented as an unavoidable charge for every six-semester student. Continuing for another year can also add a further year of accommodation and living expenses.

Chitkara University Pharmacy and Nursing Fees

BPharm fees

The four-year BPharm schedule lists ₹1.05 lakh in each of the first two semesters and ₹1 lakh in each of semesters three to eight. The calculated eight-semester total is ₹8.10 lakh.

The first semester includes ₹80,000 in programme fees and ₹25,000 for ETS. The second has the same programme amount and ₹25,000 for CAS. Later semesters list ₹1 lakh without those two service charges. The first academic year therefore totals ₹2.10 lakh, followed by ₹2 lakh in each of the next three years.

BSc Nursing fees

The basic BSc Nursing schedule lists ₹85,000 for each of the first two semesters and ₹80,000 for each of the remaining six. This gives a four-year academic total of ₹6.50 lakh.

As with the other course tables, the first two payments include ETS and CAS. The underlying programme fee is ₹60,000 in each of those semesters, plus the respective ₹25,000 service charge. The annual academic payments are ₹1.70 lakh in the first year and ₹1.60 lakh in each later year. This schedule concerns the basic four-year nursing degree, not Post Basic BSc Nursing.

Chitkara University MBA Fees

Specialisation-wise payments

Specialisation-wise payments
MBA specialisation group Stated payment Calculated programme total
Marketing, Finance, HR, Data Science and AI ₹2,25,000 per semester for four semesters ₹9,00,000
Retail Management, Pharmaceutical Management and BFSI ₹1,75,000 per semester for four semesters ₹7,00,000
Healthcare, Logistics and Supply Chain, Rural Management ₹1,65,000 per year for two years ₹3,30,000

The payment period is particularly important in this table. The ₹1.65 lakh figure is annual in the available 2026 schedule. Multiplying it by four semesters would incorrectly double the two-year amount. The other two groups use semester payments.

For the first year, the ₹9 lakh group has two payments adding to ₹4.50 lakh. The ₹7 lakh group has two payments adding to ₹3.50 lakh. The annual-payment group is ₹1.65 lakh for that year. The offer letter identifies the group and instalment applicable to the selected specialisation.

MBA application and first payment

The 2026 MBA application charge is ₹1,100, separate from the programme fees. Selected students are required to make the admission payment within one week of the offer under those instructions. A late-payment fine may apply if that deadline is missed.

The application charge is paid once for the application; it is not a fee added to every semester. Registration and reporting requirements continue after the payment, so students should keep the offer, receipt and joining communication together.

Hostel, Mess and Other Study Expenses

The course totals above do not include hostel and mess. A current room-wise residential tariff has not been confirmed. The accommodation allotment and university fee demand are needed for the actual residential payment, including any deposit or other separately collected amount.

Students must also arrange a laptop under the university's stated requirements. Its cost depends on the device purchased and is not part of the academic totals above. Travel, personal expenses and course-related purchases should be budgeted separately instead of being represented as a fixed university charge.

For a residential engineering student, the first-year estimate begins with the academic amount in the annual table and then adds the actual hostel and mess demand. For BCom honours, the additional year requires both its academic payment and any further accommodation cost. This approach keeps the budget tied to the course duration and the services the student actually uses.

Scholarships and Fee Concessions

A course-specific scholarship percentage has not been verified for the programmes and intake covered here. Students should obtain the university's written award terms before reducing the payable fee in their budget. The approval should state the amount or percentage, the charge it covers and the period for which it applies.

A tuition concession does not necessarily cover ETS, CAS, accommodation or other payments. If an award is renewable, later-year support depends on its continuation conditions. The fee account should show the approved adjustment; an anticipated scholarship should not be treated as an already sanctioned reduction.

Chitkara University Fees FAQs

Are ETS and CAS additional to the totals above?

No. Where the tables include these charges in the first two semester payments, they are already part of the calculated total. Adding them again would count the same expense twice.

Is BCom honours included in the six-semester total?

No. The six-semester total is ₹4.58 lakh. The two additional honours semesters add ₹1.54 lakh under the current programme table.

Are these confirmed fees for every 2027 applicant?

No. The engineering and MBA documents are for 2026, while the other tables reflect the current programme pages. The university's intake-specific offer confirms the fee payable by a new applicant.
