What the FMU Grade Sheet Shows?

The online result is a provisional record. The college or department later hands over the grade sheet.

  • Student name, Roll Number and registration details
  • Paper-wise letter grade and grade point
  • Credits for each paper
  • SGPA for the semester and CGPA so far
  • Pass, Fail, Absent or Malpractice status

FMU issues the provisional certificate, grade sheet and migration certificate online. Each carries a QR code. Colleges download them and the Principal countersigns each copy. The migration certificate comes with the grade sheet after the final semester result.

FMU Grading System and SGPA Calculation

FMU uses a 10-point grade scale for UG students admitted from 2024-25. The rules come from the FMU NEP-2024 Regulation.

Grade Table

Grade Marks out of 100 Grade Point
O (Outstanding) 90-100 10
A+ (Excellent) 80-89 9
A (Very Good) 70-79 8
B+ (Good) 60-69 7
B (Above Average) 50-59 6
C (Fair) 45-49 5
D (Pass) 40-44 4
F (Fail) Below 40 0

A student needs grade D or above in every paper. Theory, practical and project are passed separately. An F grade means a back paper.

How SGPA Is Calculated?

Each paper gives credit points. Credit points equal credits multiplied by the grade point. SGPA is the total credit points divided by total credits.

Example: Four papers carry 4, 4, 4 and 3 credits. Their grade points are 8, 9, 7 and 6. Credit points total 114 over 15 credits, so the SGPA is 7.60.

Converting CGPA to Percentage

FMU sets its own formula for percentage. For a CGPA above 4.5, the percentage is (CGPA minus 0.5) x 10. For 4.5 or below, it is CGPA x 10.

Example: A CGPA of 7.6 equals 71 percent. A CGPA of 4.2 equals 42 percent.

Result Problems and How to Fix Them?

Most result problems have a simple cause. The table matches each one with its fix.

Problem Likely Cause Fix
Login fails on the portal Wrong date format or captcha Date retyped as dd/MM/yyyy
Course not found in PDF list Result sits on another portal Correct portal from the table above
Result shows withheld Pending case at the college Principal takes it up with FMU
Name or mark error Data entry mistake Correction request through the college
Grade AB in a paper Marked absent Attendance proof shown to the college

Deadline: Colleges must settle withheld cases and errors within one month of publication. After that, corrections get harder.

How to Apply for Re-Addition and Photocopy At FMU?

Under the NEP-2024 Regulation, FMU does not re-evaluate answer scripts. It re-adds the marks of a valued script instead. Any unvalued answer goes to the Board of Conducting Examiners.

  1. The student collects the university form from the college.
  2. The form needs the Roll Number, subject and paper.
  3. The student pays the set fee for re-addition or photocopy.
  4. The Principal receives the form within 15 days of the result.
  5. The college sends the list to the Controller of Examinations.
  6. FMU informs the student within 45 days.

A photocopy of the answer script is given on paying a fee. A high-level committee checks a script only in serious cases. The claimed difference must be over 10 percent of total marks. The new mark is accepted if it changes by over 5 percent.

Important: The 15 days start when the student's own result is published. Late forms are not accepted.
