  • Dislikes:
  • The only thing I dislike about the campus is that there are some hills and a few tutors who aren’t helpful (very few) but you can always go to a different tutor if you don’t like the one you met with.

Placement:

My specific program has a geology club where we have workers from various companies with a lot of advice, guidance, and experience come to share with us and have lectures. You can network with them as well. The program also sends out emails (almost daily) with different job opportunities from different locations around the world (in the state, in the country, out country) or different internship opportunities (usually in the state or in the country).

Internship:

I have yet to be able to do that as I’m barely going into my second year of college. The opportunities we are informed about are usually for juniors, seniors, and graduates.

Placement:

There are various job opportunities on campus for students. However, since so many students want jobs, it is hard to actually get a job at times/finds jobs that work within your schedule. However, they are willing to help you find a job.

I decided to go to Sam Houston State University for various reasons. One reason was cost because the tuition price is fairly low. Another reason was the location. The school is located in Texas and I am from Texas, so it made sense to go there.
