Requirements
  • Eligibility: A four-year Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in any field.
  • Preference: Given to applicants with a balanced education in arts, sciences, and humanities.
  • Grades: Must achieve a B- or better
  • Additional Recommendations: Courses in humanities, philosophy, literature, and economics are recommended but not required
Documents Requirements
  • The applicant must complete an online application form by creating a user account on Harvard Medical School’s portal.
  • They need to upload PDF copies of unofficial transcripts from all institutions where they earned academic credits.
  • A personal statement, 500-750 words
  • The resume or CV must detail previous academic and professional experience.
  • Three letters of recommendation are required; applicants should provide names and email addresses of their referees, who will receive instructions for submission directly.
  • A $100 application fee must be paid by credit card.
  • Submitting GRE, MCAT, or LSAT scores is optional; if chosen, GRE scores should be sent to Institution Code 3812.
English Language Requirements

A minimum score of 103 on the TOEFL and/or a 7.5 on the IELTS is required. A 130 on the Duolingo English Test is the minimum score required

Visa Requirements

International candidates must check the Harvard International Office website for the student visa process.

To obtain an I-20 or DS-2019, international students must prove they have funds to cover the first year’s tuition, fees, and living expenses. Documentation must be in English or include a certified translation.

For funding documentation:

  • Fellowship/Grant/Scholarship: An official award letter showing the value in both home currency and U.S. dollars, including the validity period.
  • Employer/Agency Sponsor: An official letter on letterhead indicating the funding amount in home currency and U.S. dollars, and the validity period.
  • Personal Savings - Bank Statement:
    • Only up to two accounts are accepted.
    • Account must be in U.S. dollars; U.S. dollar equivalents are not accepted.
    • The student’s name must appear as the account holder or joint holder.
    • Funds must be in cash accounts, not investments.
    • A recent monthly bank statement is required, no older than three months.
  • Loan: Must be approved by Harvard Medical School’s Financial Aid Office.
