IIT Tirupati PhD Admission 2024: Dates, Fees, Eligibility, Entrance, Application Process

IIT Tirupati PhD admission 2024 are open, the last date. The last day to apply is April 10, 2024. The written test/ Interview for PhD admissions will be conducted on May 01 to May 24, 2024. Candidates seeking admission to the PhD program of IIT Tirupati can apply once the official notification is out. The college will conduct department wise written test and Interview as per schedule.

IIT Tirupati PhD Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates need to have a Master’s degree in the relevant specialisation or an impeccable record in their research-based master’s studies.
• Candidates should have a valid score of GATE/ UGC-NET/ CSIR-NET/ ICAR or ICMR score or written Test and interview.

Humanities & Social Sciences

• Candidates need to have a master's degree in an eligible discipline with an impeccable academic record or equivalent and having a valid GATE score or UGC/ CSIR - NET/ NBHM or equivalent qualification.

Engineering & Sciences

• For Engineering/ Candidates must have a ME/ MTech. or MS degree by Research in engineering or 2-year M.Sc. from IITs (entry through JAM) with CGPA 8.0 and above/ BS+MS (5 years integrated) from any centrally funded institute.
• Candidates having a Master’s degree in Engineering/ Technology or a Master’s degree by Research in Engineering/ Technology and have a good academic record.
• Candidates should have a master's degree in Sciences with a good academic record and having a valid GATE score or UGC/ CSIR-NET/ NBHM/ INSPIRE/ JEST or any other equivalent qualification.

IIT Tirupati Ph.D Admission Guidelines

IIT Tirupati selects students for its PhD program based on their academic scores and performance in the PI round. The admission committee calls candidates with good academic scores for PI round. Based on the academic record and the performance of the candidates in the interview and/or test, the Selection Committee recommends to the Chairman, Senate the names of candidates for admission.

How to apply?

• Students can take admission in IIT Tirupati Ph.D programs by applying online at the Institute website: iittp.ac.in.
• Advertisement is published on the website in March for admission in PhD programs.
• Fill the form with the required details and take a printout and keep it for records.
• Pay the online application fee of INR 400 (general), INR 200 (female) and INR 200 for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates.
• Selected candidates will be called for an interview with relevant documents and certificates.
