- Last date for admission to Four Year UG Programs (FYUGP) has been extended till September 04, 2024. Candidates can submit their applications on the official website at admission.uoc.ac.in.

Calicut University offers admission to more than 200 courses at the UG, PG, and Research levels. The university has lanuched new PG/Integrated PG programs such as MA Epigraphy & Manuscriptology (20 seats), Integrated MA Sanskrit Language and Literature (20 Seats), Integrated MA Arabic Language and Literature programs (30 seats). Candidates opting for Integrated MA programs can exit the course after 3 years with a bachelor's degree. Admission to these courses will be done through Calicut University Common Admission Test (CUCAT).
Calicut University conducts admissions through a centralised admission process (CAP) that includes UGCAP, PGCAP, and IPCAP for UG, PG, and Intergrated programs, respectively. Admissions to UG courses (except BTech) are merit-based, while PG admissions are done on the basis of both merit and entrance examination.

Calicut University UGCAP
Calicut University UGCAP is a centralised admission process for all UG programs. Candidates seeking admission to UG courses at University Departments/Governemt/Aided/Self Financing colleges must register through UGCAP. The selection will be based on allotment lists released by the university. There will be three allotments for all category of students and Two special allotments for SC/ST categories. UGCAP seat allotment process includes:

Calicut University PGCAP is a centralised admission process for admission to PG program at University Departments and affiliated colleges. Candidates seeking admission to PG program at Calicut University or its affiliated colleges must register through the PGCAP. i applied to university of kerala , trivandrum for MBA with specialization of marketing but that was not in that university so i decided not opt to that college . the admission process for university is you have to write KMAT EXAM after qualifiing there will group discussion round and after that last round is interveiw .once you have scored well in interview they will contact you to get admission.

Actually the admission procedure is by the online application through the Calicut University portel.there are 3 allotments.we give the college that we prefer most as the first option . My first preference was this college and I got admission in the first allotment itself. I preferred this college due to its serene ambience, educational quality and it's highly efficient panel of faculty.

I have also applied to st Thomas College, which is near to st Mary's College. I could get into there because of the high cut off mark there, I scored 94.8% but still couldn't make it into st thomas. i preferred st thomas because it was an autonomous college but as of 2024 st Mary's is also an autonomous college. Admission in St Mary's for BBA is comparatively easier than st thomas . There is management quota seats for admission also.

I have only got 76 % on my plus two examinations. so I didn't get any government college seat. so I chose a private college for my studies. my clg admission process is we each to have 50 % above marks plus two

I did apply to many colleges but the course bachelor of computer application is not a course that is easily available in every college so I didn't get admission to college in Thrissur buddy was much less of a college than this one. The admission process of our college is very simple you can eagle get admission via Government quota you can take management seats but you need recommendation letters and an interview

What are the minimum marks required to get admitted to Calicut University for a BA in English literature?
It is determined by the number of seats available at the college. Calicut University does not conduct exams properly, and your grades will not be corrected. This means that the student who studies the best in class and the student who did not study for the exam get nearly the same grade.
The university doesn't even properly correct the papers. It's also evident in newspaper articles about the majority of students failing a university exam. Your semester exams will be held on an irregular basis. That is, if you are in the third semester, you may write for the first semester.
Furthermore, if you fail at some point in the third semester and all of the other semesters succeed, it will take years for you to pass the exam because the supplementary exam is not given frequently.

Calicut University have both Aided and self finance colleges. Self finance colleges are those which do not receive money from the government for teaching their courses while Aided courses are those for which government gives fund and student pay the less fees.
There are four courses offered under Teaching/ Education Department in Calicut University. These four courses are- B.P.Ed., M.P.Ed., B.Ed. and M.Ed.
There is a centralised admission process known as CAP which Calicut University applies for admission to its UG and PG Courses. The students who want admission to UG courses can apply via UGCAP and students who want admission to PG courses can apply via PGCAP. There is no entrance examination conducted under UGCAP and PGCAP. The admissions are based on merit scores.
You can get admission to the Masters of Business Administration (MBA) on the basis of scores on the CMAT or Kerala-MAT or CAT followed by a group discussion round and personal interview round conducted by the University of Calicut (CU).
As per the latest updates from the University of Calicut, the registration process for the postgraduate courses was closed on 6th May 2022 for the 2022 – 2024 academic session and no new applications will be accepted by the university now.
