As a student of Biochemistry at Delhi University, I wanted to share my thoughts on our course curriculum. Honestly, I picked this course because DU has a great reputation for academic excellence and research. Plus, the curriculum looked promising, covering everything from molecular biology to genetics and metabolic pathways. The mix of theory and practical work, including lab sessions and research projects, really appealed to me.That said, there are definitely areas that could be improved. For starters, the curriculum could include more contemporary topics like genomics and bioinformatics. The field is constantly evolving, and we need to keep up with the latest advancements. I also think the teaching methods could be more interactive. Group discussions, case studies, and digital tools would make learning more engaging and effective. Our practical sessions are good, but they could be more diverse and advanced.

Biochemistry is a very vast course , I chose this course because I had interest in both biology and chemistry and this course definitely provides insights into both , it will lead us to research work and knowledge about the basics of this field . This course also provide us to experience practical things to perform all the experiments on our own and gaining the lab knowledge as well, Overall it is a good course . The exams difficulty level is also moderate , if you have studied throughout the semester you will definitely able to ace it.

I quite do not like the curriculum because it's more based on theory reather than enhancing the student's skill it's more focused on craming things rather than understanding visualizing and getting a hands-on experience with it.

My course is more than sufficient for anyone who want to either switch their field to any other related to biology and for those who want to continue in the same . It does not have much job aspects after graduation but yeah you can opt for research and higher education in this field. My curriculum also has that bioinformatics which is a new emerging field for those who has a keen interest in IT field too . It has much wider prospects . If i have an option to change anything about the couse then i will definitely include more about this particular course bioinformatics. Exams were also easy to moderate. You will easily be able to clear it with flying colours.

The course is designed pretty well structured and the semester system allows syllabus to divide which is easy for us to interpret. The practical apparatus can be improved but the thing about exams is they are very hectic and long. It take 1.5 months for University to take our practical as well as exams

This course is one of my dreamest course which I decided to study further. In our college we have 10 Faculty members along with the lab assistant.Average students inan class is around 40-50, the basic qualification of the faculty is clear the NET exam and most of them are PhD holders.the sem exam will conduct every 4 months and the syllabus is little difficult, but in daily study method it's easy

I want to pursue a B.Pharma and Biochem is my backup, so when I didn't get pharma then I chose biochem. The faculty-to-student ratio is around 1:5 for my batch. All faculties are Ph.D. and some of them have 30+ years of teaching, while some joined last year and some also do their own research. The exams were after mid-semester and happened for a week. Some exams are intermediate whereas some are too tough. But the end-sem exams are at the intermediate level.

I didn't wish to opt for a traditional course, so I went for an application subject instead. There are around 8-9 very well-qualified professors in our department having a class size of 30-35 students. The teaching method adopted is pretty much confined to presentations in theoretical classes which at times becomes tedious, although the practical classes promote self-assessment and understanding. The 1st semester will get over in March, so the duration spans down to 4 months.
Faculty members of Sri Venkateswara college are very supportive and helpful. As I have a special interest in biochemistry subject they helped me to gain more interest. The teaching staff is very very good at Sri Venkateswara college.
Exams are held after every 5 months and the level of the exam is quite good. Whereas it's not difficult to pass the exam for student who study, it varies from person to person. But after all the hard work teachers do to make us understand the concept it's not very hard to atleast pass the exams.
