The program is arrange in such a manner that you will learn each and every thing from the beginning. You will be provided with the notes made by the faculty that would be easier for you at your all minute preparation. Level of exam is moderate. You can expect few tricky questions and you get good amount of break between 1st and 2nd sessional as well as for your final exam. If you have prepared well in sessionals it will be easy for you during your final exam.

I chose this course because I have an interest in biology and the department of biotechnology Jamia is very famous, it has a large number of projects currently running. Biotechnology is a good course for a person belonging to a biology background. It has a wide scope and huge demand in pharmaceutical and other research industries. The faculty-student ratio is good. There are 12 faculties and every year a guest faculty is appointed. All the faculties are highly qualified with 15-20 years of experience in the research field. The teaching method is good, explains everything very well. The term exams occur a little late every sem because it is a university and it has to conduct an examination of all departments at the same time, it will take a month to complete the exam. The exams are not difficult, if you have read sincerey you can easily pass and can also score a good GPA.

After 12th, I gave NEET exam. Unfortunately, I couldn't get enough scores. After MBBS, Biotechnology was my favourite. So, I decided to go for it. Since I live in this area of Jamia and had heard a lot about this university and has a good reputation and consistently good ranking in the national ranking system. So, Jamia was the best choice for me. The faculties are nice. You don't have to worry about the faculty and students ratio because it is sufficient. Around 1 faculty for 25 students for each subject. PhD scholars are more supportive and guide in study and goals. No doubt Teachers are highly qualified. Trained mostly in the USA, Germany etc. Term exams are almost timely except for a lag in Covid time. Sessional and practical are held almost on time. If you study regularly, then it's very easy to pass. Passing the exam is not a tough thing because if you are here you are a good student and so no issue to pass.
B.Sc. Biotechnology is a very good course for one who has an interest in both Biology and Technology. This course has 6 semesters of 6 months each. Due to COVID-19, I completed my 4 Semesters in online mode. My all faculty members had taught me in online mode through Google meet and also all internal and final semester examinations had taken place in online mode via open-book examinations in pen-paper mode. All the faculty members are very supportive and taught fluently. They used to help every student and also motivate everyone. All the faculty members had qualified and completed their Ph.D. And postdocs from IITs and universities abroad. Jamia's teaching method is awesome and exams are not too hard if prepared well.
In the present scenario, the importance of biotechnology emerges hugely. Just think what will happen if there's no vaccine for covid. So it's truly a worthwhile course. The male-female ratio is fifty-fifty. The faculties are highly qualified. Their teaching style is wonderful. Exams include sessional, semester, and vivas.
In today's scenario biotechnology course is really a boon to mankind. In future, this course gonna give so much employment. Also in this pandemic era, we really need to take a further step in biotechnology. If we talk about the faculty of Jamia university then they are really supportive. They will help you in courses, and all the faculties are well mannered they understand the student's needs and according to it, they will provide you help. And there are total approx 35 students in BSc biotechnology and a nearly equal no of girls and boys. Here every faculty member is well qualified. They already have their PhD degrees. And their teaching methods are really so easy to understand. There are total 6semesters in the BSc biotechnology course. And you have to pass it all. Difficulty wise it's moderate if you really study well and give attention in class then it's easy for you to have good marks in the semester.
Since Jamia Millia Islamia is a government University, the fees structure is one of the lowest that I have personally observed. The latest fees I paid for the entire 2nd year was Rs. 6900 for a General student. To a normal middle class person, it is feasible.
