I have been very interested in mathematics from the start. That's what led me to choose the course. Of course, the placements are great too. The courses have been perfected by experienced and knowledgeable faculties over the last 60 years.

I chose MSc. Mathematics dual degree course. It is a 5-year course wherein at the end of the 2nd year, students get their preferred BE degrees based on the CGPA of their 1st year. The faculty at BITS Goa is top class and the curriculum is conforming to the latest industry standards. There is a 0 attendance policy in the college meaning one can choose not to attend classes though it is advisable one attends them. There are mid sem exams and semester-end comprehensive exams. Apart from that, there are quizzes and labs depending on what the course instructor/faculty deems fit for the course. Most courses are moderate. They are neither too easy nor too difficult. One needs to be up to date with whatever is being taught in the class and that should suffice. Grading is relative and different for different courses.

I choose MSc Mathematics because I have an interest in mathematics. The course curriculum is very well designed, and students here are allowed to make their own timetable and choose their professors. Faculty are approachable and are always ready if anyone is interested in research

I choose Mathematics for my love of it. There were about 40 people in my course. Classes were usually take place in smaller classrooms and a plethora of electives to choose from. It is an Honours degree and a lot of interdisciplinary courses could also be taken.
BITS provides a lot of flexibilities when it comes to the course curriculum. There's no attendance requirements. A handout for each course is given stating all the topics to be covered and by when. There are electives you can take up which will facilitate you with the compulsory courses you are supposed to do. There is a PS (practice school) program at the end of second year which is basically a nonprofit internship which is to give you a feel of the work culture. Also there are many opportunities for industrial exposure. There are many faculty members worth mentioning. I will name a few like Srinivasan Krishnaswamy sir( chemical dept), Mayank Goel sir ( maths dept), Prasanna sir( maths dept)
Fee Structure includes tuition fees and hostel fees. Also it includes mess, electricity and water advance. With one share of miscellaneous activities, fees hike upto 2.5 lakhs per semester. It is kind of expensive.
It's getting expensive 15% hike in fees every year is an irritating thing But here are options for taking student loans, scholarships and other ways to manage money The hostel and mess charges are however reasonable and worth it This should not be the criteria to reject this college. What it takes from us, it gives back in several ways

There are different viewpoints for the same question. It primarily depends upon what is best for you, and whether or not the course you are willing to take interests you.
One of my friends encountered a similar problem likewise, and addressing the same, here are some points you might want to consider before diving into any conclusion,
You should research the same for BITS Goa and find whether or not the rule is similarly applicable in the institute. This is the basic difference you can find between both institutes.

To be eligible for an education loan from SBI Bank, the student must meet certain criteria, such as:
In addition, the bank may also require certain documents, such as proof of admission, the fee structure of the course, academic records, income proof of co-borrower, etc.
