- The medical degree programme is six years long; students graduate with a BSc (Hons) Medicine from St Andrews and then progress to one of the University's partner medical schools in Scotland or England for the final three years to complete their MBChB/MBBS.
- Applicants who are ‘overseas’ for fee purposes will progress to the University of Manchester Medical School.
- The School of Medicine at St Andrews offers an integrated curriculum within a strong clinical context. In addition to exploring the foundations of medical science, this course will help you develop the professional attitude, ethical understanding and decision-making skills required by the General Medical Council (GMC) and detailed in their Outcomes for Graduates and Promoting Excellence.
- The curriculum addresses the following core principles:

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students should have a high school degree from the recognized institution.
- Students can have a diploma with a minimum of 45 credits at Level 3 at Distinction and Merit.
- International Baccalaureate (IB): 36 (HL 6,5,5) to 38 (HL 6,6,6 plus SL 6,6,6).
- Students must be qualified in IELTS or TOEFL and PTE to get admission to this program.
Indian Student Eligibility:
- Indian School Certificate, Intermediate Certificate, Higher School Certificate, Higher Secondary Certificate, All India Senior School Certificate, and Pre-University course: (awarded on completion of Standard XII) candidates are expected to obtain a minimum average of 90% (with 90% or higher in any prerequisite subjects) in Standard XII examinations, or A1-A2 if students are taking examinations used by Central Boards.
