  • 80% of the graduates secure employment after graduation, the avg salary range would start from 24000 GBP per year.
  • Student use different services and portals to find jobs. Mainly Linkedin, indeed, handshake and Student Circus.
  • I was not enrolled to the placement year batch so I may not be able to share any views over it.
  • All the IT companies, or the Banks hire graduates from my programme.

  • I used a platform called university living to find accommodation.
  • Monthly rate was around 490GBP which included all the bills which included Wifi, water, electricity. Rooms were fully furnished and with proper equipped kitchen.
  • Living in that accommodation was one of my best time, I surely recommend it other students to try for student accommodations and choose an En-Suite room.
  • My accommodation was 3-4 walk from my university.

  • Most of the cohort was into some job role within 6 months but not necessarily in the subjects they studied in university but in some shortage occupation jobs in the healthcare sector or hospitality sector.
  • The students getting purely management roles were scanty, as the companies often prefer students with prior industrial experience.

  • Although online platforms were there, they charged exorbitant prices. I had a family member who was abroad and had some knowledge of the house rates so it helped to get a reasonable accommodation near to university premises.
  • Some challenges initially faced were that most of the housemates were international students from other countries so it took some time to get familiar.

  • I completed my course in MBA with work-based learning. After completion of my course, I secured a job at University of Central Lancashire and worked as a project administrator from September 2022 to December 2023 with a starting salary of £23500 per annum.
  • Later, I have secured a role with the School of Medicine and Dentistry as a Professionalism Support Officer from October 2023 to June 2024 with a salary of £25700 per annum. Currently I am a freelancing consultant and entrepreneur, based in India.

  • Full-Time Job Opportunities - Honestly saying, as per the new set of UK GOV guidelines, it has become extremely difficult to secure a job with sponsorship.
  • In every batch, almost 90 per cent of the students failed to secure a job with sponsorship, and those who have secured one are mostly working as a carers/support worker.
  • As per the new rule, to secure a sponsorship, an international candidate must meet the gov requirements, including the minimum annual salary threshold of £39000 approx for some of the jobs.
  • While the student is on a study Work Visa, they may end up finding a fixed-term contract with a basic salary of around £10/hr to a maximum of £15/hour

  • I managed to find accommodation on Openrent.co.uk There are a set of websites that can help in finding suitable accommodation, such as Spareroom, Rightmove, and Facebook marketplace.
  • The main challenge I faced was to find a local guarantor for the accommodation, most of the landlords prefer to give rooms to those students who have a local guarantor or to someone who can give a reference and take the responsibility of the student.

  • Some of the students had good connections, so they tied up with the sponsorship providers for the working opportunity, but for half of the class, it was really difficult to get one.
  • There were many reasons; students used to get rejected, and they used to think that it was a kind of discrimination, but actually, it was a lack of experience and resume formatting errors as per the desired role. Language and accent were the barriers for some.
  • The lowest salary was the minimum wage, and the highest was 14000 to 18000 GBP annually. Only 40% of the class secured a full-time opportunity, and hence, for some of them, it was very difficult to complete the module on professional placement reflection.
  • Later on, for those who could not get the job, the professional placement was changed to complete some mandatory theoretical additional module as part of the credit system completion.

I had approached few companies but they are not willing to provide sponsor visa. So they simply rejected my profile. I don't think there is a vast opportunity for business students.

I had a great experience. Initially it was hard to pick up all alone. I landed in UK at my 20 age so it was so hard for a immature little girl. But I was blessed with few good people. And they helped me throughout the year. Eventually I stood up by myself. And I'm so proud of myself. Now I'm currently working as BDM at Infopark, Kochi. May be I would say it's all happening because I had tough and great time in UK. About University as said before it's so amazing than Kerala colleges.

There is nothing A simple statement is if we need to get job we need to have visa, if we need visa we have to get job. These both not easy in Uk education except only few 5 in 100 get placed in companies others all pay for fake employment to get visa

My fate bad that’s why I chosen this university. Consultancy people told as this is the best university for international students but the complete university have Indian students in all core engineering and management courses
