Ajay Kumar Kolluru Review at University Of Hertfordshire [UH], Hatfield | Collegedunia

University of Hertfordshire - Student Review

Firstly! I applied for admission considering the specialized program and location of the University. I got admission without any delay. Alongside the University offered an early deposit tuition fee discount. I have wasted no time and paid my initial deposit. I proceeded further to the next steps, every step was smooth, to be honest. My overall experience at the university so far has been somewhat elevated compared to my previous experiences in the UG. I have chosen to apply to this university for different reasons. Firstly the advanced learning, depth of research techniques and industry-oriented training. The knowledge and skills needed to pursue a successful career are the main factor in this process. I could share more thoughts on my experiences when I am graduating next year.

Course Curriculum :

The university’s course curriculum and academics have always met or even exceeded my expectations. This is because the syllabus is comprehensive, up-to-date and relevant to both academic as well as industrial needs. This is why I can say that these industrial exposures and research experiences were crucial for my preparation for a good career after graduation.

Exams :

- PTE Overall Score: 68 (L68 R69 S66 W73) (Minimum 59 and above in each of the four sections) - SSC- 74% (10th) State Board of Technical Education & Training, Hyderabad, Telangana - Mechanical Engineering - 68% JNTUH - BTech Mechanical Engineering - 60% - Requirements: Yes, I had to submit SoP, LoRs and my updated CV. Also, I had a telephonic interview for the admission process and another round of telephonic interviews for visa sponsorship. I have answered to all the questions with honesty, and It is very important to answer the questions straight with a prepared mindset.

Placement :

The program offers various opportunities for job placement and research after graduation, meeting industry needs. With a high placement rate of 96%, different job roles, and good salaries. Salaries offered ranging from 25000-65000 GBP annually based on the role. Also, for those interested in research, the program also provides an opportunity to continue the academic year in research, backed by the university's research facilities and connections.

Fees :

15,450 GBP

Faculty :

The ratio between faculty and students is somewhat like 62:1. The academic staff are highly knowledgeable, easy to reach and dedicated to making sure their students succeed. Because of the favourable student-teacher ratio, teachers can engage in real, personal conversations with their students, thus fostering a friendly learning atmosphere. Moreover, professors and staff have played key roles in our growth both academically and professionally. Their input has truly made a difference in my education and continues to inspire me.

Campus Life :

Life on campus is active, and friendly, and offers lots of opportunities. The university has good facilities like learning resource centres, many activities outside of class, and focuses on both learning and research. This helps me to grow personally and professionally. The wide campus provides what students need to do well in their academics. To be honest the facilities are really comfortable and easy to understand and available across the campus.

Hostel :

The accommodation facilities are available across/around the university. University accommodation options: Single room, Ensuite and Common kitchen - Starting from 500 GBP per month. Off-Campus Options: Housing contracts, Single and Double rooms - Starting from 450 GBP + Bills. Deposits are to be paid as per the agent policy.
