The best part about the University were the facilities on offer such as a 6-DOF motion simulator, up-to-date classroom and laboratories. No wonder the University has the number 1 Formula student team. Also, the campus is excellent. I have stayed there on-campus for 6 months and I faced no issues. You find students from different countries when you stay on-campus which I would insist most of the students travelling to Herts to do. both the campus of the University are excellent but I would recommend staying in College lane campus and travel to the other de Havilland campus (10 minute walk from college lane) to access sports club of the University. Life at Herts is incredible. I went there to study Automotive Engineering but due to Covid I had to come back to India and then transfer the course to AI (online) since Automotive cannot be studied online and since the core part of the Automotive Engineering study was scheduled to start from 2nd semester and things with Covid got worst, I decided to transfer the course online. One thing to mention, the professors are really supportive. Also, the University staff made my course transfer process a beeze.
Course Curriculum :
When I was studying the Automotive Engineering for the first 6 months, the subjects were similar to the undergraduate degree such as Mechanics, Mathematics and Business Computing, it was a bit easy but I would say the curriculum was good for starters. Now for the AI (online) course, it was 2 subjects per semester and the 3rd semester was dedicated to the final project. Every week there used to be a zoom session where the professors either taught or discussed the modules and the content of the modules were really up-to-date for most parts. The only problem I think with the online study were the proctored exams because most of the exams were 30 minute ones which I feel never really required proctor while some open book exams were proctored (meaning there were only certain technical papers which could be referred during exams). One suggestion to online degree seeking students, get the internet with very good and consistent upload speed.
Exams :
No special tests were required. If one has scored 80% or above in English subject during their 10th and 12th both, no IELTS score was required. Also, one needs to submit a letter whether the Medium of Instruction during the undergraduate degree was English. I had 81 and 84 in English during my 10th and 12th standards respectively and also the medium of instruction during my Bachelor's was English so I had to give no exams.
Placement :
Since I have just graduated, it will be too early to comment on these topics. Also most of the graduate roles are scheduled to start in mid July so will have to wait and see how it goes.

I received no scholarship but a discount of around 1500 pounds for paying my total fees at once.
Faculty :
Both the Automotive Engineering and AI course professors were really good. For the classroom study, the ratio was one professor for around 120 students (or maybe 100). But one thing is for sure, this ratio never formed a barrier while studying. Classrooms have 2 screens and a blackboard and if a student is not interested to study can just walk out when the professor provides the break between the lectures. For the online study too, the professors were really good and now the students were reduced to 40 or maybe 50 maximum. And during both the courses one can just message the professor through Canvas (study portal) or email them and one can expect a reply with 48 hours. Most of the time you get reply within 24 hours.
Campus Life :
The campus is excellent. I have stayed there on-campus for 6 months and I faced no issues. Sports life is really awesome and one can take inspiration from every individual on campus to take part in the sports or concentrate on fitness. Some sports activities include cricket, football, roller skating, tennis, badminton, swimming, squash and many more. Life at Herts is incredible. The campus also has a huge library with access to computers, xerox machines and cafeteria. Also, those living on campus can access to high speed wi-fi even in the accommodation area.
Hostel :
When you live on campus expect a monthly expenditure of around 500-600 pounds monthly if one selects a room with washroom connected to their rooms. The studio rooms might cost upto 800-900 pounds per month. And this fees includes all your wifi, water, electricity bills. One does not need to pay any expense related to infrastructure or facilities. Now the food cost will depend on whether you make it or order it from the restaurants. The accommodation comes with a connected kitchen which has induction, ovens, refrigerator, etc.
