My journey studying abroad

SD
7.5 /10

Overall, my time at the University of Glasgow has been very rewarding and life-changing. The school not only offered a top-notch education, but also a lively and varied student life. I have been able to do many academic and extracurricular things that have helped me grow as a person and as a thinker. The dedicated teachers, state-of-the-art facilities, and helpful community have all made my college experience one I will never forget.

Course Curriculum :

The Course Curriculum was well designed mainly focused on critical and analytical thinking. Lots of group tasks and interaction with other students. Definitely yes for research, there were plenty of opportunities provided. Not for industrial though.

Exams :

The admission requirement varies depending upon the course. However, in general all the international students must sit for an IELTS exam scoring minimum 6.5 overall. A good SOP is a must to secure a place. Mainly the focus should be on the particular university, the particular course and the country.

Placement :

Unlike India, here the universities don't provide on-campus placements, however, there are lots of career fairs which happen frequently and it's a great opportunity to get connected to the companies and now about the hiring process.

Internship :

I was part of several societies and volunteering groups.

Fees :

25650 Pound

Faculty :

It depends upon the course curriculum, for my course, there was one professor for theoretical subjects and 4-5 lab assistants for our practical classes. They were suffice and well approachable.

Campus Life :

The University of Glasgow is renowned for its lively and varied student clubs and societies. These organizations encompass a diverse array of interests, spanning intellectual, cultural, sporting, and leisure pursuits. Participating in a club or society is a superb method to connect with individuals and enhance your university journey. The university often organizes a diverse range of events throughout the year, including as academic conferences, cultural festivals, and student-led activities. Monitor the university's event schedule for chances to partake in and actively involve yourself in extracurricular activities. Extracurricular Activities: In addition to joining clubs and organizations, you have the opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities including volunteering, community outreach, or part-time employment. Engaging in these activities not only improves your social and personal growth but also adds to a comprehensive education. The University of Glasgow is widely recognized for its exceptional research facilities. It offers state-of-the-art research facilities in numerous sectors. If your programme and research interests align, you will likely have access to fully equipped laboratories, extensive libraries, and specialized research centres. The university offers several learning centres including main library which opens until morning 7am - 2am everyday that houses vast collections and abundant resources. All the learning hubs has adequate number of charging slots and seating space including pantry, cafeterias, lounge and vending machines.   The campus is furnished with WiFi connectivity, allowing students to conveniently access the internet. Additionally, students usually have the privilege of utilizing the university's computer labs. The university provides a variety of sports and fitness amenities. This encompasses fitness facilities such as gyms, sports fields, and fitness classes. You have the option to engage in group sports or utilize sports facilities for individual physical well-being.
