Required Exams for Admission

IELTS (7)

Course Curriculum

6

  • The curriculum and course structure are highly updated and aligned with current industry trends. The university is well-recognised for its strength in emerging areas like Information Retrieval (IR) and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) within computer science.
  • It also houses one of the largest libraries in Europe and offers excellent research facilities.

Admission Experience

  • I chose this university because of its good reputation, strong infrastructure, and quality teaching. The course structure was well-organised and matched my interests.
  • The admission process was smooth and well-guided. Overall, I had a very good experience—great faculty, useful facilities, and a supportive learning environment.
  • IELTS: 7, Bachelor’s degree with required cut-off scores.
  • A strong Statement of Purpose (SOP) also played an important role in the admission process.

Class Schedule

6

  • There are around two classes per day, sometimes including a lab session, depending on the day.
  • As for class size, it varies because lectures and labs are often split into smaller groups, so it's difficult to provide an exact

Faculty

6

  • I don't know the exact ratio  of student to Faculty, but I would tell its good and professors or staff is extremely supportive, many of them are very knowledgeable and from well reputed Russel universities like UCL, Cambridge etc.
  • The labs and lectures are split into different session for better teaching. And its a high research oriented uni in UK so the professors and facilities too.

Campus Life

6

  • The university has one of the most beautiful and historic campuses in the UK—often described as having a “Harry Potter-like” charm. It is the fourth oldest university in the English-speaking world. The campus infrastructure is impressive, with four student unions and numerous clubs that organise regular events, including career fairs, cultural activities, and networking sessions.
  • The library is one of the largest in Europe around 10 floors and approximately 2.5 million books and Research facilities are excellent, supporting a wide range of academic fields. university also offers great sports facilities through UofG Sport, for students to stay active and engaged beyond academics.

Part Time Jobs

  • I did not take up any part-time job, and most of my friends chose not to mainly because of demanding course structure and assignment workload. but international students are generally allowed to work up to 20 hours per week during term time.
  • On-campus part-time opportunities, Teaching Assistant (TA), Research Assistant (RA), or Departmental Assistant (DA) roles, are competitive and less in number.
  • Students usually apply through the university's internal job portal or directly by contacting departments. Off-campus can be found through online job portals with hourly from £10 to £12 depending on the role.

Placement

4

  • I am currently employed, and many of my friends have also secured jobs. but job outcomes largely depend on the individual's efforts, skills, and the steps they take during and after the course. university itself does not guarantee placements, but it does offer strong support which regularly lists graduate job opportunities and internships.
  • While it's difficult to provide exact numbers, many students secure employment within six months of graduation. The average starting salary can potentially be over £30,000, depending on the role, sector, and location. Most students find jobs through a mix of online job portals, internships, networking events, and university career fairs rather than direct campus placements.

Accommodation

Off Campus
6

  • I have found my accommodation through university living, its a private accommodation and it cost around 530 per month, Facilities include room, own washroom and shared kitchen.
  • There are university accommodations too that would be bit more expensive option and you could find thought university official websites.

Exams

  • For admission to my university, a relevant bachelor's degree with the required cut-off marks (as mentioned on the official website) was necessary.
  • Additionally, an IELTS score that meets the university's language requirements was required.

Fees

  • The total tuition fee for my programme was approximately £29,000. fees vary depending on the year and specific course structure.
