During two years of full-time studies the students obtain cross-disciplinary theoretical knowledge and practical skills by using the available space scientific facilities such as satellites, rockets, landers, stratospheric balloons, radar systems, robots and space instruments. Students receive Master Diploma certificates from two European universities. The Course Consortium consists of six European universities, two Third-Country universities and five associated members.

The SpaceMaster - Joint European Master in course from Lule? University of Technology has a compulsory first year of studies for all students. The first semester takes place at JMUW, and the second semester at LTU. During the third semester the students are distributed among the six European universities within the consortium. During the forth semester the students conduct their Master thesis projects at one of the six European partner universities, The University of Tokyo, Utah State University or at any of the associate consortium members.The thesis work is usually linked to ongoing research projects and performed in collaboration with space industry.
Labour market
Graduated students have wide and deep competence and are ready to work within the modern and most technologically advanced areas, i.e. fundamental space research, space technology and engineering, applied engineering and electronics. SpaceMaster gives you an international network. Graduates are today employed at ESTEC-ESA, SSC, EADS, Astrium, DLR, Volvo Aero, LKAB, European universities and space companies around the world.
