Remarks :

Postive aspects of the college is it location and good pleasing atmosphere. Hardly 10km from the main city. Good transportation facilities. Friendly and supportive faculties. Negative aspects are college lacks good placement facility

Course Curriculum Overview :

There are total 8 semester. Every year 2 semester will be there. Prior to semester exam 2 internal exam will be conducted. Score of your internal exam will be reflected in your internal marks. Max score of exam is 150. 100 from university written exam, 50 marks are given from college as internal marks. Internal marks are sub divided as 30 from performance from internal exam. 10 for assignments 10 for attendance for that particular subject. Pass mark for semester exam is 75. Including internal marks

Placement Experience :

The main problem with college is that it lack crucial placements. Very few companies are coming for placements. No facilities for internships. We have conducted external internship in allind company without any stipend.

College Events :

Our college is rich with events and programs. 1. College tech fest named as avishkar. 2. Special branch wise tech amd cultural festival. 3. NSS camps 4. Surveys and programs. 5. Iftar programs for students and friends. 6. Onam celebrations 7. Christmas celebration. 8. Holi celebration. 9. Independence day 10. Freshers day. 11. College union election 12. Rakshabandhan 13. Guru pooja And many more

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee structure is little expensive side. But still many quotas are there where u can apply for a fee relaxation. One have to pay fee semester wise. During our time fees was 90000 for 1 year. Which u have to pay semester wise.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There are many option for scholarship where students with good merits can get 100 percent fee concession. Scholarship are also available on the basiss of caste also. Minority schoolarships ade given for Minorities where they can get 25000 rs for 1 year. For loan one can get fees structure from office and apply for loan im any bank.

Campus Life :

Labs are one of the best in the near by area. Especially in mechanical department where you can see different models of lathe cnc pumps engines and so on. In Sports college have a cricket, volleyball team, kabadi team , football team. Tournament of which are conducted every year.

Alumni/Alumna :

College have a very poor alumni network. No connection with senior pass out students. But alumni meet is conducted regularly for keeping the contacts. Last year alumni meet was conducted for students passout on 2017

Admission :

Should pass 12 th exam with minimum 50% marks. Qualification mark from Kerala entrance examation. If you get good entrance result then you can get merit seat with govt approved fees structure. If you are just passed without good score you can apply for management quota. If you are failed in entrance exam you can apply from NRI quota. Application process is simple. Just fill up application form with basic details and submit. A basic level interview will be conducted then you will admitted. All orginal certificates to be handed over to management.

Faculty :

There some good faculty with immense knowledge with good teaching skills. Some new freshers are also recruited they lack experience of teaching and handling students. They are humble and friendly. Every question will be answered. Very supportive.

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
