Bnca review

Remarks :

The college is great but on the flip side of the coin, there is a lot of politics and partiality with respect to marking. Attendance, hard work, punctuality, consistence is not taken into consideration and is based just on the “appearance of the project”

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is hectic but amazing. Architecture helps you to explore beyond textbooks (which are not a part of the curriculum). It encourages you to look around and find design cues in the surrounding environments. For every year, we had 5 subjects for sessionals and viva and 4 subjects as written papers. Written exams happened only once a year and were 4 days consecutively. The sessionals were at the term end and there was cumulative marking for both the semesters together at the end of the tear

Placement Experience :

There are no placements that the college offers. In the internship period, the student has to find their own internship by writing mails to various different people in the industry and find their own internships. The college does not help you in the process.

College Events :

Our college is on the forefront of all architecture colleges in the annual social gatherings. The college culturals are a git amongst the students as well as the faculty. The month of December is a celebrated month and a month full of life and activities at bnca

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure is as per the regular fees for architecture. The fees seem feasible, but the rest expense on stationery, printing, is high. The fees are around 1.2 Lac per year without any stationery or travel.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There are no loans or scholarships that the college offers apart from the scholarsships by the Samaj Kalyan Office in Pune for the reserved caregories like SC, ST, OBC, NT etc. apart from that I have not heard of any loans or scholarships offered by the college

Campus Life :

As mentioned above, BNCA believes in extra-curricular activities. There are huge sports grounds and there is constant encouragement from the college with respect to sports, however because of the massive workload, it becomes very difficult to spend time on the ground.

Alumni/Alumna :

The seniors are extremely helpful. However there was not vertical circulation that happened across batches. We students found a way out by participating int competitions like NASA and interacted with seniors. Once they are friends, after graduating, they still remain buddies and help everybody.

Admission :

I got the admission through table admissions in 2014. Everyone was supposed to fill in their scores and a merit list was formulated by MASA, before the table admission in centres across Maharashtra. Once the merit numbers were given , everyone were split into days which were based on ranks. For eg : day one - 1-400 Day 2 - 401-800 etc On those particular days, a list of colleges and their seats available were displayed and everyone got to chose from the availability of seats in the current time.

Faculty :

Very experienced faculty at BNCA. Many people have a PhD and are extremely experienced in their field of expertise. For running a huge college with a 160 intake, senior faculty is equally important with the junior faculty

Placement Experience:

The campus provides placements for 5th-year and 3rd-year ID students. There are about 10-15 companies that come for placements. The average package of the company would be roughly 2,50,000 to 3,00,000.

Placement Experience:

campus placement is generally eligible in the last year. for architecture, the term campus placement is not fitting in this college. there is only a single company taking students from here in the name of campus placement. the intake is less than 5 students out of 80. more students go for starting a firm by their own or do post-graduation. i think ill do the post graduation after my degree.

Admission:

Admissions into any architectural university nowadays are purely through NATA. This university doesn't choose to differ as well. The minimum marks to be scored in boards is 50% with PCM as the stream. The candidate has to apply online and pay the fee online too.

Placement Experience:

There are very little/no placements as of now. But the student can take up internship programs if he/she is interested with stipend. The college doesn't provide them stipend. The college however grooms us well to face situations like placements.

Admission:

I wrote JEE mains and NATA as I was very determined in getting into architecture someway or the other. Luckily I got into B.Arch at TSAP with my NATA score and Board score cumulative. One has to score a minimum of 50% in his/her boards. The NATA and JEE mains cut off varies from year to year.

Placement Experience:

Placement training at TSAP is excellent, we have frequent workshops, the institute even takes up live projects where students could lend a hand. Most of them do their post-graduation and the rest of them get placed in firms for experiencing a job.
