Remarks :

It's a good atmosphere for learning life and to have a socialized life and to mingle with people from different cultures and locations. One has to take personal care on their health, as the neatness and tidy isn't ensured.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum lags behind the technological world that we are living in. The regulation that they take up is choice based where students could pick up their faculties and subjects by enrollment. And the semester exams would be conducted for 100 marks out of which a minimum of 50 is considered to acquire a grade.

Placement Experience :

They are pretty good and satisfactory for students who wish to have a good future for themselves. Miracles doesn't happen for the ones who doesn't give a try. So it all lies behind the way we wish for.

College Events :

We have 2 major fest which is being celebrated. One named sivaranjani accompanied by the year as a suffix celebrated during the odd sem. And Mitafest during the even semester. These events are organised by one of the oldest cultural organization named 'Athenaeum'

Fee Structure And Facilities :

It varies for courses that are under regular and self supporting. But they are under normalised structure established by the Anna University. It is feasible for almost 90% of the students who get into the institution.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There are many such scholarships available. Few among them would be the FFE & MITAA. MITAA is an organization which is being run by our alumnus. And also various other scholarships from the chief minister and the govt of TN comes to notice.

Campus Life :

There are opportunities for people who wish to excel in sports. NSO is the organization , that helps students who are passionate on sports and activities. The kabadi and badminton team usually secures the first place in university matches.

Alumni/Alumna :

We hope to have the finest and the largest network of alumni all over the world. This is one of the biggest treasures of our institution. There are students who have acquired lives and a great future from them.

Admission :

The admission is based on the 12th board exam conducted by the govt. Of TN where the cut-off , an established standard is fixed by the major subjects like Mathematics , Physics and Chemistry and on the basis of caste too. So I had an aggregate of 197/200 to fetch a seat for myself.

Faculty :

They are okay and undersatisfactory. They aren't updated as the curriculum is updated far behind the technologies that are gearing up. And the level of motivation for the students lags behind , and they have the habit of taking vengeance.

Average college but a good place to study on your own

Placement Experience:

The campus placements start in the 7th semester. Due to the recession, there is a lot of backlash when it comes to placements. It has been quite poor for the last few years. But it depends on how the student is prepared for the competitive world.

Students who pursuing five and sixth semesters onwards are eligible to attend the placements and internship. Mostly the IT companies are visited frequently and core companies are low. The Highest package is 9LPA. The percentage of college placement is 78 percent. I planned to make higher studies after my degree.

Reality of Veltech

Placement Experience:

Placement is good for the CSE and IT departments. You can't expect placement if you belong to other departments, there is a placement for the other departments but very less. Campus placement starts in 3rd year itself. They have special classes for Aptitude skills and interview preparation GD and necessary preparations for job placement opportunities. 90% of students from CSE and IT get placed. The average package is 7.5 LPA you can expect a minimum of 3.5 LPA. If you are willing to go for higher studies you can contact the international relation office they have good relations with other universities abroad, they have students exchange programs, research scholarships etc if you are not planning to seat in placement. I plan for higher studies and research after my Btech.

Best place ever visited. My Sweet College.

Placement Experience:

The placements in my college is very good and top companies hire students across every branch with a good amount of package. At the end of 3rd year every student is elegible for the placements in college. About 20 to 25 companies visited for campus hiring and approximately 700 offers were given across the college from every branch. 60 percentage of students got placed in the campus hiring program. Highest package is 24 LPA and the aveyis 5LPA. My plan is to get into a good MNC company which is related to Aerospace technology.
