Remarks :
I would like to mention here that the college needs to manage its funds properly and use it wisely for students' benefit. Since last year it was seen that the college has been skimping on the funds which were released for students' cultural fest. Such practices need to stop.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum and exam structure in VIPS were easy-going with an emphasis on a practical approach. The time-table was designed in such a way that there was a balance of lab and theory classes throughout the week. It has done a mentionable change in my studying and revising practices.
Placement Experience :
Although VIPS invited numerous companies to offer placement to the "to-be" graduates, I was not able to apply for the same due to numerous reasons. Some of the major companies which recruited students from VIPS were Zee Network, LBB, etc.
College Events :
VIPS is known for its cultural festivals. The famous one being Spandan i.e. the annual cultural fest of BJMC. Apart from Spandan, there are other cultural fests as well which are known for their name. One of them is Gravity, which is the cultural festival of the Legal department.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Fee structure is as follows for BJMC, First Year : Rs. 70,000 + Rs. 10,000 security deposit. Second Year fee is Rs 70,000 only. Third Year fee is Rs 70,000 only. The fees structure was quite feasible against the services which were there in the college itself.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I did not opt for any sort of scholarship or education loan. The college does not really provide any sources of funding to their students, students can opt for educational loans from third party sources.
Campus Life :
Campus life in VIPS was quite relaxing and challenging at the same time. With cultural society for about every skill, there was a diverse group of students ready to excel in their particular field. The gender ratio on campus was about 1:1 with zero tolerance to racism or gender discrimination.
Alumni/Alumna :
The seniors provided their help whenever needed. Be it teachers' notes at the last moment or asking for the final project to refer from. Seniors did the best they could. I was really lucky to have such helpful and well-mannered seniors.
Admission :
I chose this particular course because of the love I had for art and culture. BJMC gave me a chance to gather information about the vast culture. Local as well as global. The admission process in IPU is pretty simple and straight forwarded. That is, you apply for the entrances, qualify in the exams and you may get a seat in your desired course if your all India rank matches to the college cut-off list.
Faculty :
Most of the teachers in VIPS were PhD and those who were not, were on the way to becoming one. The faculty was very helpful with each and every aspect of the course. Be it last time revision or jotting down important pointers before the exam, the teachers would do it all.
