Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choosed this course because of my intrest for web designing and my intrest in subject related to computer programming It is a great course with many subjects which are important for real world use like dbms , ds, os , dm , dav etc.which also helps in your daily life while working at the corporate sector The only area of improvement is they should hire more talented faculties who are actually willing to create a great study environment rather then get involved in student politics In one semester we had 2 mids which had moderate to extreme difficulty in some subjects the gtu examination was relatively easy to score then mid sem examinations

Internships Opportunities

3

My internship was actually off campus so my colledge didn't play a significant role in my career i was an intern as a python developer in a company named nova necter they gave us several projects including hotel management system , snake game , invoice generator etc.

Placement Experience

3

From 6th semester we became eligible for campus placemet many companies asked to have cleared all the backlogs in the respective subjects of the students Companies visited are e spark biz , webcode genie , shaligram , casepoint ,alpha e ,ignek ,lanet , silvertouch, invonix , brevitaz , tatva soft the offers are generally between 2 to 5 lakhs per annum 5 lakhs being the higest achieved by our students Placement percentage used to be very high when chande sir was in tpo it was around 60 to 70 percent but in my batch it shrank to just 20 percent I have started an import export company after getting the degree i am planning to clear gate and go for the masters now i am quite finically stable and ready for any challenges life throws at me

Fees and Financial Aid

Per semester we had to pay 1500 per sem and 800-1300 per exam The digital gujarat scholorship was avalible for sc students like us which generally covered our total fees except last year food bill because one professor filed a complain in gtu that students attending less then 10 months in college should not be eligible for the scholorship so it was preety affordable but not a great help with the professors

Campus Life

1

My overall experience in college was mixed i had greate friends and met great people travelled a lot planned trips but the colledge experience was worse as it could get The freashers and farewell off the students was not a college festival we used to celebrate it independently outside of colledge premises generally the freshers and farewell was celebrated at the same time nearly at the end of the year The colledge days or annual function were celebrated by colledge cultural committees generally held in February the colledge days contained various days like signature day , traditional day , chocolate day , fancy dress compitation etc. The facility in classrooms were not much most of classrooms had only fans and benches some of the class rooms had projectors but there were many computer labs at my time in colledge the library used to be closed at all the times but there are some changes now the doors of library are open for juniors The sports week were in February where vairous tournaments of different sports took place each day a new tournament with a new sport like kabbadi , gali criket , criket , chess ,carrom , tug of war , bad mintion and various other games There were many student run groups like nss (national service scheme) which used to do social work and organised various functions like nasha mukti , blood donation etc. the code ayush used to help students to build a better future at coding , cultural committe used to celebrate our annual week and sport commite used to organise our sport weeks.

Admission

I appied for shantilal shah and various other college but i wanted to get out of the kathiyawad and experience new environment, culture and people thats why i chosed this colledge over others. I wanted a peaceful environment and this college had it it was far from city far from noise and far from pollution so it was a best choice The admission process of this colledge is through acpc u have to score good marks in your state bord or cbsc and have a moderate score in gujcet to be selected in this colledge the general cutoff is around 5000-6000 obc cutoffs are around 12000 and sc/st cutoff for acpc are around 20000-40000

Faculty

1

The faculty and students ratio is quite great many faculties are quite helpful Like haresh chande sir ,hlc sir , kc suthar sir and bpp sir he was harsh and kind at the same time sometimes i also thinked that how is that possible The faculty I didn't liked was aadesh panchal ,mehul vasava , jay patel because they were much of a talk then real help their main hobby was gossiping rather than helping students and maintaing a friendly environment they were intrested in student politics the only students they liked the most were the ones who had best gossips There are generally 2 mid exams and one final exam difficulty of these exams are actually moderate but the real thing holding back from clearing exams is attendance the students passing ratio was quite great nearly more than 70 percent in every subject

Night Life

1

There was no night life at our colledge because our wardens used to close gates at 9:00 pm and some times at 7:00 pm as a punishment for months and this was the time of boys hostel if u are a girl don't even think about night life because girls hostel used to get closed at 6:30 they used to charge us for gym in colledge fees but there was no gym the area is actually quite safe around at night because it is a village and the villagers are quite friendly

Placement Experience:

Placement in this college is quite good and it also depends on the grades of the students. Highest package goes to 14 lakhs per annum and the average package goes to 5 to 6 lakhs per annum. As the students enter into their 7th semester the placement process gets started and the students will go into th selected companies in their 8th semester and if the worked well their they can also get PPO which means that they can do their job for permanent time. Percentage of the students last time who got placed in big MNCs company goes to 87 percent and the rest students got their placement in some small company. My plan after my b tech degree is to get higher studies in Mtech by score a good mark in the GATE exam which is going to be held in February month.

Placement Experience:

In technical courses like Computer Engineering and Petroleum Engineering, organizations like Reliance Industries, Shell, and ONGC visit the campus on a regular basis. In our batch, the placement rate is approximately 80–90% of students with average salary packages ranging from 7–12 LPA. A few record-breaking offers, particularly in core branches, have been as much as 24 LPA.

Skills are developed from the word go and our placement and training cell keeps a full track of it. Though, unless and until we enter the final yes, we are not allowed to sit for placements. L&T Infotech, TCS, Tata Technologies, Happiest Minds and various other top IT firms have made sure that placements are almost 90%. Average too is maintained over 10Lpa.
