Course Curriculum Overview

5

I mainly decided to choose this course because in their 5th and 6th semester, we should work on a dissertation work in a group and we should submit for the course completion. So that's where I actually liked the curriculum of my course because even in the 3rd year, they made us do a research work project. So we will know like how the real life research works like. They theory seems too basic actually.

Placement Experience

1

St. Joseph's University offering good package and placement for B.Com and BBA. There are four signs. For MSc, they are offering like from big companies EY and all. So for BSc, there are like a certain laboratories which they offer and even in microbiology they offer from Aster Labs. And the highest salary package for B.Com students is like 10 LPA and half of like 50% of the students are getting placements from B.Com. So my plan is to do MBA in sustainability after this and planning to get into ESG sector.

Fees and Financial Aid

So the fees for first two years were like 40,000 for the subject and when it comes to the third year it was like 80,000 this was same for all. In the first two years those who took additional subject as a foreign language like German, French like for them extra 12,000 rupees and for non Kannadiga for the first year we need to pay 10,000 extra and for NRIs 60,000 extra.

Campus Life

4

And the main Inter College Festival is Pratipa and it happens in the month of September and in the month of February we have Visages that is Intra College Fest and along with this we do have freshers day that is Swagat and ethnic day and moreover we do have like Onam function but since we don't have a Malayalee Association it's not like grand as our college and about the books our college has one of the biggest library like we do have more than 8,000 books there we do have digital library and all classes has been provided with Wi-Fi and we do have projector in all classrooms and the lab facilities like too great in our college even computer lab and we do have a special building for conferences it's like air-conditioned and for sports we do have football, basketball, cricket, volleyball and the football team and the basketball team are the best and we do have it like Western Dance Association and Indian Western Dance Association too so it's like it's the best we do won so many awards and the fashion team in our college is like so great. Moreover we do have like so many clubs NSS, NCC and we do have the one of the oldest club Wildlife Conservation Club they do arrange Neerathon like a marathon which like they have 500 participants and there are so many clubs for each language we have a club Tamil club and Kannada club

Admission

So, I applied for CUET, but before my CUET exam, I got into this college, and I applied to Mount Carmel, and I got my admission confirmed. I cracked the interview and all. I didn't choose that college because that offers environmental science and chemistry, whereas, like, I don't want chemistry. And for the admission process in my college the eligibility is 12th pass, and so, it's mostly an interview, and there is no exams. And, once you go through, like, two levels of interview, you will get that admission.

Faculty

4

So the student-faculty ratio, it's like 1 is to 8. And since I already told about the student relationship, the teachers are too good with the students. And one of the favorite faculty of mine is Prabhakar sir and Alakmanda ma'am from the Environmental Science Department. And moreover, one of the best department in my college is Environmental Department. Because we have eight faculty there and three lab assistants. We used to be like a family. And so I don't like the Life Science Dean because she's too strict with everything. And then we have one mid-semester and like one end-semester for a SEM. And it's like, it's not too difficult or too easy. And usually people like they used to pass because mainly of the assignments before they do.

Interview Experience

4

So, we do have like two rounds in the interview. And there was no group discussion or written test. And since mine was COVID time, my interview was online. And we have like two levels. Like first level, they just did their background check with us, with the certificates and all. Then second round was with my HOD. In the first round, they asked like why do I want to choose this college and like introduce myself and all. And in the second round with my HOD, they asked me the basic questions of environmental science and biology. And they checked my knowledge. And they asked some analytical questions too.

Night Life

4

We don't have a girls hostel here, we do have a boys hostel. we do have a gym, and the gym is only accessible for people in boys hostel, and with special permission, and the boys hostel timings are like, the curfew is 7.30, and the hangout place outside the college is like, we have so many places, Church Street is nearby, Richmond Circle is nearby, and we do have Swiss cream, with so many ice cream parlours, so many darshanis, and the cafeteria inside the college, we do have like, 3 cafeterias, one is in PG block, one we do have a building, like the top floor is full of cafeterias, there we do have 4-5 different restaurants. The night vibe is so good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

One of the key reasons I chose this course was its industry-oriented curriculum, especially the integration of modern technologies such as- Full Stack Development, DSA, AI/ML, Real-world capstone projects and hackathons. The curriculum does a good job in terms of bridging academics and industry demands- we work with Git, APIs, etc, then there are group projects mimic startup/team experience encouraging collaboration. DEspite the strengths of the course, it should have depth over breath on some topics, which were covered to quickly. Too many exams happen throuout the year are come very frequently, it could be changed.

The college is new so there is no placement report of the 4th year batch. but the placement report of the scaler academy has an average of 26 LPA. the internship report of the second year batch is pretty impressive with 96% students did atleast one internship with an average of 30k per month without any tech background before coming to the college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this curriculum because of it's niche it's CS centric! nothing else! if someone like me is so much interested in CS I would say nowhere I will be finding a better curriculum! We work with industry experts! on a regular basis! they visit our collage not only that they also take our sessions! The curriculum changes like with change of tech! like last year we didn't have a particular AI and Ml in course with So much advancement in AI and ML they introduced one in our curriculum! Exams are too frequent I would say but not soo hard! i would say medium! and we have exams for max of 3 - 4 days!
