What Students Say

Likes

The Mess was very clean and the food served was always fresh.
The Hostels were regularly checked for any kind of illegal substances.
The classes and teachers are well equipped with the latest features.

Dislikes

Sports was promoted but only a few like Badminton, Athletics, Football, Basketball. Cricket needs to be promoted soon.
The campus is small compared to other colleges.
The college is in the outskirts hence city feels too far.

Course Curriculum Overview

The content which we got was at par with the best colleges at the time but the only concerning thing is when one teacher starts taking several classes for different subjects. Things start getting confusing.

Class Size: 45Course Fees: INR 152000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees that was charged per semester was 76,000 INR, which sums up to 4,56,000 for the complete couse. If you opt for the hostel, you will have to pay 20,000 per semester. The mess charges are 4,000 per Semester. There is a 100% scholarship given if you secure 9 CGPA or above.

Campus Life

There were several fests like sports fest XEST, annual fest XAMBORE, etc. These fests were a good experience. I was also the highest run scorer in the XEST 23, scored 196 runs in three matches. The library was a good place because you get all the kind of reading material that can be available, from news papers to encyclopedias.

Hostel Facilities

There were no AC hostels for students in UG or PG. The mess food was okay but the mess was super clean. The hostels were affordable. We rented a room 4 kilometers away from the college where there was a gated society.

Hostel Fee: INR 40000 per year

Admission

The entry to this college was easy and the fees structure was suitable for me. The screening was not tough and almost every student that filled the enterance form got selected.I got rejecyed from Symbiosis Pune in the Interview stage.

Faculty

The faculty members are mostly on contract and only a few are permanent in the department where I studied. The ratio of Student:Faculty is 1:10. The exams conducted are moderate and scoring 8CGPA without a back is very easy.

Interview Experience

There were open ended questions which you can easily answer. They ask you about the hobbies, likings, dislikings, etc to make you comfortable. Then they also ask you about the subjects of your 12th standard.

Night Life

There were fixed days when you could go for an outing 3 days a week. The in time was 8pm sharp. Hostels were fun because the care takers were good. The locality of this college was a bit far from city, hence it was a bit unsafe for non locals who do not know how to speak odia.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The core curriculum was good and all the faculty members were friendly to the students I chose this course from the reference of my sister as she got passed from here the faculty members appointed 70 persons and it is a good number the faculty or good qualified from foreign countries and have a great experience and they teach very good there are term exams in every 6 month and medicines in everything knowledge from the faculty.

Xim university review

I chose this college because of the college life and curriculum. Campus life is pretty good here, you will be having many fests throughout the year. The student to teacher ratio is pretty good which allows faculty to monitor every student closely I did apply to other colleges and even got selected but choose this university.
