Course Curriculum Overview
As I mentioned earlier, the curriculum is well structured and covers almost all the parts of literature. However, there are some subjects or lessons where we cannot find sources to study and analyze them. The teaching methods are also fun and engaging.
Internships Opportunities
It is mandatory for the students to do at least 1 internship. the college mostly specify when to do it. for me, it was right after my second year and before my third year started. as a literature student, we were not supposed to work as a teacher, but as a content writer, content editor, proofreader and practical jobs like these.
Placement Experience
We have a separate placement cell, and everyone interested can join in for the same. We have students placed in target, Deloitte, Accenture and other companies, both domestic and international. Students in the final year can be eligible for the campus placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees I paid yearly for my bachelor's in English was 70000. Apart from the college fees, we had to pay the exam fees separately. We also had to pay for our graduation and alumni association registration fee in the final year.
Campus Life
we have a program happening in KJC almost everyday - be it seminar, fests, conferences or events. we have so many auditoriums and libraries. we also have an internet lobby and a reading lobby as well.
Admission
This was the only college I applied to. the interview was a long process but it was good and the teacher was friendly too. the admission process is structured and the results are also given within a span of few days.
Faculty
Good faculty with good experience and teaching methods. We have practical subjects too, like technical writing and translation, which are actually pretty helpful in the competitive ecosystem. We have 3 sets of exams in a semester - Midterm ( offline and online) and the end-of-semester. The paper evaluation and exam hall behaviour are strict. The faculty is friendly and approachable.
Night Life
Our campus is open till 8 pm. Classes are from 8 am to 4.30 pm, depending on your course. We have a gym and a cafeteria in every block. It is generally safe at night time too since it is a very crowded area.
