Remarks :

As the college is 100 years old, there is requirement of lot of renuvation and improvement of basic facilities required in a college like cleanliness, water facilities, supplies of practical instruments and kits.

Course Curriculum Overview :

My course is Ayurveda medicine and surgery. We have to study the same syllabus as MBBS but in addition we have to also learn about our ayurvedic treatment and medicines. There is an annual exam only and per subject you get 1 day off. The course is of 5.5 years of which 4.5 years are 4 proffessional years and 1 year is internship.

Placement Experience :

Yes our college provides internship. Though i have not experienced it yet but according to the seniors you get to do duty in every department for 1 month and also the internies are posted in some other colleges also. Stipened recently is Rs. 20,000 per month.

College Events :

1. 7 feb to 13 feb - Basant (annual inter college fest). In this 3 days are for sports competition and 3 days are for cultural activites. Last day is the concert day. 2. Sports week (anytime which is intra college)

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee structure is very feasible. Very less than other medical colleges. It is just Rs. 2000 every year. Which is not at all expensive. Infact the books we buy are more expensive than the college fee. Expect the college fee is the exam fee which is according to the number of practicals and theory paper.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I do not get any scholarship as the scholarship is provided to only the backward classes student's like SC's, ST's and OBC's. They have to fill the form and submit it in the office and then they transfer it in your bank account. As i dont get it, i dont know much about it.

Campus Life :

There are practicals in different subjects and are very useful. You get to have a practical knowlegde and exposure which is nicely provided in the college. Also you can get badminton, cricket and volleyball game's kit issued on your i card by the sports incharge as there is separate ground for playing.

Alumni/Alumna :

Seniors are very helpful. They provide you with best knowlegde and provide you notes. They help you studing the right way. They help you by telling the correct books to buy and how to right in an exam. Some seniors ask questions and help us to remember things. They also help us in practicals.

Admission :

Firstly i did not know about this college but i searched many colleges on net through which i got to know about this college .My batch was the last batch to have admission through merit list. So i was the last candidate in the general category.

Faculty :

Our college is ranked best in ayurveda in delhi. Our faculty is also very good and they are highly experienced. They teaches us every concept very clearly and in detail. They solve our doubts and listen to us very patiently.

Remarks:

There are only 100 seats for the course, which of course is a great thing because all the faculties interact personally with us. It's easy for us and them to keep track of each other and everything else that goes on in the institute. Being a government institute, the fees are very feasible too, and there is great exposure in outside commercial industries too, because we have a compulsory internship program.

Admission:

The admission process first starts by filling the entrance exam form - the NEET exam - then you prepare for the exam and attempt it. Then you get the results and if you meet the required criteria, you're through. From there all the legal process starts. Which is the payment of counseling fees, registration on the institute's official website and all the legal document verification. Then the seats are allocated to the students who satisfy the criteria and you have to quick and fast to freeze the allocated seats, as there are only 100 seats, they fill up pretty fast. Now, you can withdraw the fee refund and report to the institute if you secure your spot. Spot counseling round is conducted now, after the initial main counseling round, students still have the chance to get into the institute if they haven't before. After all the counseling rounds - the main counseling round and the spot counseling round - the vacant seats are filled and a new fresh session begins.

Placement Experience:

They have a compulsory internship at Ch. Brahm Prakash Ayurved Charak Sansthan in the 5th year of college For job opportunities, you have to pass an entrance exam again. Also being a government college during your internship there will be many offers for you from some private hospital to work in their hospital. Having a compulsory internship program is extremely beneficial to the students as we a crystal clear idea of the commercial world.
