Course Curriculum Overview

4

I would give a good rating to the course and its curriculum as it focuses on giving importance to the clinical and applied aspects which helps people to easily correlate and diagonise disease when we are going for postings from the 2nd year

Internships Opportunities

4

No as it is a medical college our internship duration is around 6 months where we get work in the government hospital for 6 months and with many postings in various departments like surgery, ortho, gynaec , etc . We also get to work at various PHCs

Fees and Financial Aid

I come under sc category so my clg admission fee was 12000 but the normal fee in a Governmnet medical college is 18000. I also had to pay around 75000 for other expenses like hostel fee , mess bill, student council fee and many more

Campus Life

3

I am actually not liking for a person who ha s grown up in city with a complete different vibe and people it is very difficult to adapt this environment and and people. Here people focus more on marks than the knowledge . They are like more into score and rank rather than how skillful they are and how much knowledgeable they are. And they didnt conduct any culturals till now . They conducted white coat ceremony which was chaotic and not likeable one

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel facilities are good. They problems are sorted when there are any issues. And the food here i dont like it. Mostly we order it out . Registration is very simple and one can register it only if you are allotted to this college. The payment is not affordable for all. But overall one can actualy manage it

Admission

I applied for coimbatore government medical college and KAP vishwanathan trichy medical college. I got this college through my counselling and moreover it was my parent's choice and not mine. I got rejected by those colleges as i didnt have enough mark to get qualified over there

Faculty

3

The faculty present here is enough for maintaining the 100 students. As it is a professional course we cant expect a very good faculty-student relationship, but overall it is good. One of the faculty whom i like here is Dr.Ponnien Selvan, from communtiy medicine department. A very optimistic person here among all the other staffs I particularly dont like the overall anatomy department, too much of work with no mercy and lots of stress . The same goes with physiology department expect in few things The first year have internal assessment every week and it is so stressful

Night Life

1

It is very different and difficult for people who wants to enjoy their life as there is very less place to visit . And hostel timings for girls hostel is around 8 and i dont know about boys hostel. There is gym but not to the level very basic and there is no seperate place like cafe in college only mess inside hostel

Soon after studies there is no assured package but if you can get decent job offers from various hospitals with a min salary package of 60k. There is a lot of opportunities that you have after completing MBBS. Wide variety of opportunity to learn from.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I personally like science so i took up this course. The college prepares you very well for the real world. By the end of the 5years you would become a full fledged doctor. The current teaching methods are fine but more of mcqs should be concentrated rather than theory writing. According to me the internals are fine but the university exams are very difficult.

Placement Experience:

The students in their internship will get around 35000 per month excluding their mess fees, they have the option to opt out of the mess. And once they finish their internship they had to do two years bond in places where the colleges allot them and the salary for those two years will be decided by the place the person goes and itll be definitely more than what they get during internship.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Competency Based Medical Education (CBME) is pretty relevant to today's needs of a doctor, with more competency based skill learning and regular assessment of students, along with subjects like attitude, ethics and communication skills, pandemic modules etc. The only disadvantage is it still has a few redundant systems such as record maintenance etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Being a doctor, I can help people a lot. There is a lot to study and knowing the human body, to cure disease, and much more is a great experience. The curriculum prepares me to do great in my future endeavors. The thing I think they lack is a bit more clinical exposure for all students separately. Teaching methods are all good. They conduct exams after each important section, they teach. Around 6-7, internal exams are kept.

Remarks:

Speaking about positive remarks the teaching is very good, faculties are the best, the college campus is away from the city rush. I am talking about the negative remarks the hospital is about three kilometres from the college, the food is just average, the place don't have any major attractions, lack of greenery.
