Course Curriculum Overview
the course curriculum is well- structured, covering fundamental and advanced topics like data structures, algorithms, machine learning, and cloud computing, which influenced my decision to choose this course. it provides a strong theoretical foundation and prepares students for industry roles amd further academic pursuits through practical assignments, coding contests and hackathons.Although exams are moderately frequent and balanced in difficulty, they often focus on theory rather than practical application.
Internships Opportunities
my college offers internship oppurtunities from the 4th semester onwards, with companies like microsoft, google, tcs , infosys and wipro offering roles in software development and web. Stipends range from 10,000 to 50,000 per month. projects include web applications, ai models, with outcomes like real-world software deployment.
Placement Experience
placements start from the 6th semester in my college. TCS, Infosys, Wipro , Amazon come to the college for recruitment of students for the role of software development, data analytics. the highest package comes from the top techs firms to 20+lpa. the average pachakage is around 6-8lpa.around 80-90% of students get placed.Iam planning a tech role after my degree or higher studies in AI/ML.
Fees and Financial Aid
Sridevi Women's Engineering college was founded in 2001 and is affiliated to JNTU ,Hyderabad. It offers several undergraduate and postgraduate courses.the course of B.Tech costs around 1,13,000 for the first year with the same charges in subsequent years, amounting to 4,52,000 in total duration. That includes tution fees, admission fees, laboratory fees , and other such mandatory charges. Fees : students admitted under the management quota may have to pay more. Fees have gone up gradually in the last few years, indicating inflation and infrastructural development. Scholarships : there are scholarships for students belonging to reserved categories. For example,SC/ST students who get admission through EAMCET may be fully reimbursed for their fee, while OBC students might get a scholarship of 35,000 and their payable fee would be only 75,000 per annum.
Campus Life
campus life is vibrant with cultural fest VIDYOUTH in the month of feb and march. The library offers vast books, journals, and digital access. smart classrooms ,wifi, and projectors enhnace learning. Sports include basketball , kabbadi, khokho, throwball.Clubs like coding, robotics, foster skills and networking.
Admission
this was a college that best represented itself as having a powerful academic reputation, well structured curriculum, good placement oppurtunities and industry collaborations. compared to other colleges i had applied to, the faculty support was stronger here, the labs well -euipped, and a coding culture lively.i choose this one because it has a constant record of plecament and internship programs. My college has an admissions with eligibility criteria which involves clearing entrance exams. The admission process was generally smooth, including document verification, rounds of counselling and final seat allotment according to the merit.
Faculty
SWEC has a good faculty - to - student ratio. In departments like ECE , it is around 1:12 and in CSE, it is around 1:67. The faculty is generally accessible to the students and guides them. The course follows the prescibed curriculum of the JNTUH in balancing both theory and practical learning. The examination system acts on a semester -wise basis eith approximately 9 to 10 subjects for a semester.
Night Life
nightlife around campus is decent, there are no cafeteria . and libraray close at 4pm. Hostel entry is usually by 6 pm.tha area is really safe ,with students enjoying walks , gaming zones, and food outings.
