Course Curriculum Overview

5

MBBS was a dream for me since childhood and having being able to be in the path to achieve is really a dream come true moment for me. The curriculum here is relevant and teaches you all you need to know to go out into the real world and prepares you for everything.

4

Internship is usually done at the same college as house surgency. We also have a wide array of research facilities including a whole research centre dedicated for this with the backing of the Kerala Startup Mission equipped with a bio printer.

Campus Life

5

We have a lot of events year round at our college such as arts fest and sports fest that is conducted yearly as a tradition. It is an inter batch competition. We have all kinds of clubs such as literary clubs, anime clubs, sports clubs such as badminton, basketball, football etc.

Hostel Facilities

4

A personal bed and pillow single cot. We have a personal wardrobe for clothes and two shelves for books we also have our personal study tables. The food in the mess is of average quality. PGs and rented homes are always available nearby.

Admission

I applied to almost all the colleges in the merit quota. This college had the best reviews from students and alumini.According to the ranklist I wasn't able to secure a seat in any other college. The eligibility is a neet rank around 5000 in general and around 10000 for the nri seats.

Faculty

4

Faculties are there in plenty. The Dean is the best faculty here and will be there to support you in all your endeavours no matter whether it's academic or cultural. Sports are also taken seriously in the college and you will be getting a lot of opportunities to represent your college.

Interview Experience

4

The seat was based on neet ranklist. For that we have to appear for and qualify in the neet UG examination. The preparation was done during the drop year that I took for the neet exam after my boards.

Night Life

4

We have a gym both in the hostel and outside. A common dining area, a hospital canteen, 2-3 cafes around the campus etc. The hostel timings are till 11 PM. It is safe to roam around at night and the roads are well lit and we have guards at each and every corner.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course not due to the curriculum..i qlways dreamed of becoming a good doctor. The level.of satisfaction you get in this profession wont be anywhere else. The modernization of curriculum has stressed on the clinical aspects which i think is the core of medicine. We have been taken to bedside and taught to examine patients diagnose the case and interpret imaging. Also the skill lab clears the obstruction we face in a real life like we are being trained in BLS and ALS. Our junior batches are also taken to trivandrum medical college to see autopsy which in fact is a real opportunity. The course could improve in a way that apart from academics it must give importance to sports arts also which is not promoted in our college. Also revisions classes can be made effects by conducting small test papers chapter wise instead of taking chapters on repetition. Exams are almost done in an effective way. The course is actually very difficult compared to others. So much effort has to be put in from both students and Teacher's side.

I chose MBBS as it has been one of my dreams since my childhood and it's my parent's dream more than mine. Faculties teaching in the First year min qualification is a master of science in the particular subject and from the second year onwards the minimum qualification is MBBS for every faculty. Three exams per year and you have to pass any one exam to write in university exam and it's somewhat difficult to pass if you start studying at last

Remarks:

The hostel and college infrastructure are a little poor compared to other colleges but it is expected with the minimal fees given. There are a lot of festivals and programs and a healthy political atmosphere. The non violent conflicts between the two opposing parties lead to good development in the college.
