Remarks :

I passed out from Apollo Arts and Science college in 2016. I did B.Sc in Physics and passed with an aggregate of 64% marks. Overall I had a mixed experience at my college. Some faculty members were quite immature, placements are okay. But the fee is more than the facilities provided to the students. Extra-curricular activities could have been more interesting, but cultural events were limited.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course material which I studied was quite thorough. But I realized it later, that other universities are updating the curriculum more frequently than our university. The curriculum also lacked the element of practical knowledge, which is an essential part of a core science course.

Placement Experience :

Many core engineering companies visit the campus for placement drives. Many of my batchmates got placed in the leading MNCs. I myself secured a placement in Wipro. Although favoritism also exists during the placement process, overall everyone gets a fair chance of securing a job. Some of the companies visiting the campus were: Tech Mahindra, Wipro, Cognizant, TCS, etc.

College Events :

The college is known for sporting events, being organized at regular intervals in the college. We have one of the best sports teams and the best physical directors in the zone. The college had tools and equipment for all kinds of athletics.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee is on a higher side as compared to other colleges. They keep on looking for various methods to extract money from the students. One of the most, greedy processes is the no dues clearance process, which includes leaving on a working day, leave for Internal exams, etc. With that, the facilities provided are quite poor. There’s a lack of purified drinking water, canteen food is quite average, etc. Transport facility is quite bad in itself, especially when we are paying such a high fee.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The college offers many scholarship programs. Some of which are limited to the students belonging to the reserved category. For rest, there is a lengthy process with a probability of corruption from the concerned department of the college.

Campus Life :

Within the campus, discipline is quite strict, most of the time. Otherwise, the ambiance is pretty bad with students fighting with each other like a B Grade institute. I have seen one of the faculty members using foul language with a student, which was quite a low bar. Though, there are some positives too.

Admission :

My admission was done on the basis of the class 12 merit list. After my name was published on the merit list, I went to college for a Personal Interview which was followed by document verification. After that, I was granted admission.

Faculty :

Most of my faculty members were Ph.D. holders. Some were good at teaching, while some didn’t even care about a student’s career. Most of the faculty members remained absent from the class since they didn't care about the future of the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The specific aspect of curriculum is that it exposes the student to the actual applications of data science in the real world . The exams are held monthly once. Their difficulty level can be rated moderate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen this course because it is the rare course combined with mathematics and computer applications where we can learn both maths and computer and it is available only in few college. This college gives best coding skills using practical classes that helps us to enter into IT companies to handle real-life situations.

Placement Experience:

1. From the fourth semester the students are eligible for placement in the college. 2. Many of the companies are visited in the college and I am not attending anyone of the companies because I am going to do pg after this ug and none of the offers are there for me. 3. Highest of 9l and lowest 92k for a year. 4.97% of students get placed and other students go to do higher degrees. 5. PG as MSc.cs, I am planning to do this degree after this degree.
